We love the quiet West Shore location, treed view and the ability to walk down the street and into the Tahoe National Forest. It's an easy two mile hike to the lake. Lovely Sugar Pine Point State Park is two minutes away.
Lovely home is located in Tahoma on Lake Tahoe's quiet west shore . It is situated on a quiet deadend street next door to Sugar Pine Point State Park. The home is a few minutes drive from Meeks Bay, fabulous Homewood ski area, or stunning Emerald Bay. Our vacation home has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a rock fire place, large deck and 2 car garage.
There are two bedrooms, a bathroom with tub/shower, and laundry facilities on the entrance level. Upstairs is the main living area with a master bedroom, full bathroom with soaking tub, living room with wood burning stove, full kitchen, and dining area. There is a loft above the living room area with a futon bed. The deck is off of the living room and offers serene tree views with a peek of the lake in the distance. The weber gas barbeque is located in the enclosed shed on the deck.
There is convenient Tahoma Market/Deli close by for that item you may have forgotten to pick up on your way in at Tahoe City. West Shore Pizza and Cafe Espresso/Gelatto are other Tahoma attractions. There is local bus service to and from Tahoe City with stops at Homewood ski area.
One of our favorite things to do is to walk down the hill and along the path through Sugar Pine Point State Park to the lakes edge. We call it 'our secret beach' (almost, but not quite) any time of the day, but especially at dusk.
The place is yours accept for one locked closet with personal items.
We are always available by phone. We live in the Bay Area.
Leave the home as you found it. That means vacuum, wash linens, clean kitchen area. We can arrange for cleaning if you prefer (fee $100). We will need advance notice if you prefer not to clean the place yourselves. Replace anything you use. Read the "Opening and Closing Procedures" that are posted in the kitchen carefully. You may bring your own linens if you prefer. No more than two vehicles allowed. We have a double garage, but there is strictly no parking allowed on the street from Nov.-April.
That is a photo of my husband Dan and I holding our grandson James. We have owned our place in Tahoe along with my sister's family for 15 years. We love the outdoors. We enjoy swimming and hiking in the summer and cross country skiing at Sugar Pine Point State Park in the winter.
