Our cottage was built in 2012 as a newlywed nest and is now available for all travelers to enjoy. We've been selected as "Best of Houzz" two years in a row, featuring a restored wooden barn door and creative use of space. Near UW, Greenlake and more!
Our house has two bedrooms and one bathroom. At 750 square feet, the space is nice and cozy. Our place is rustic and fresh- this cottage will be a nice getaway for your stay in Seattle! With unique touches of restored wood and craftsman finishes, this house was designed for retreats.
There are two bedrooms with queen beds, separated by a barn door. We also have a very comfortable queen sleeper sofa downstairs so we can easily host 6 people. The eating nook, kitchen, and sitting area are all adjacent in the open floor plan.
Feel free to prep a healthy snack in our kitchen, or just head out for a bite to eat. In Seattle, there are plenty of fun restaurants to visit.
Grab some coffee at Herkimer Coffee, Morsel, or Wayward Coffeehouse. These are all within walking distance of the house. Then enjoy a nice, leisurely breakfast at Fat Ducks Deli & Bakery, The Butcher & The Baker, or Portage Bay Café & Catering. All are popular stops near our house.
Venture out for some fresh air – try Ravenna Park, Green Lake Park, or Cowen Park for enjoying nature.
Try Vegan Haven, Savatdee Authentic Thai & Lao Cuisine, Araya’s Place, or Rain City Burgers for lunch. Then head back to the house for a nice afternoon nap.
Popular nearby dinner destinations include: Tempero do Brasil, Taste of India, and Amazing Thai Cuisine. Try one, or try all!
After a long day spent out exploring, freshen up with a quick shower in the bathroom, and then curl up in the cozy bed. Our house has two comfy queen sized beds. Get a fresh start each morning, and head out the door for more fun.
Don’t leave town without exploring some local flavor. Check out The Fremont Troll, Wedgwood Rock, and Edith Macefield’s House while you’re staying with us.
If you’re a traveler who enjoys shopping, have fun at Valley of Roses, Ten Thousand Villages, and Lucky Vintage.
Our location is convenient to restaurants, shopping, entertainment, and more. Come stay in our house, and enjoy all that Seattle has to offer!
Our location is one mile from Green Lake, one mile from University Village, and has access to a corner store, coffee shop, whole foods, Bartel Drugs, and more within a few blocks.
The University of Washington is also a short distance away (Greek Row is located on 17th Ave NE, and we are on 12th ave NE). You can also walk to the stadium for Husky games (Go Huskies!), which is about a 20-30 minute walk- which isn't bad considering that you will sit in game traffic much longer than that.
Our space has a walking score of 95, so you are sure to be able to find all you need if you do not have a vehicle. Plenty of bicycle-friendly roads are nearby, as well as easy access to city transit.
Other Things to Note
Please keep in mind that you will be staying in a home, not a hotel. Therefore, we ask that you treat our space with the same respect you would show your own. We travel often and have help managing guest services for our home while we are away.
Our home has an electronic lock or lockbox located on or near the entrance. Before and during your stay, you will have access to our mobile-friendly House Manual that contains check-in instructions, access instructions, amenity details, FAQs, and a reporting tool for maintenance requests. The codes needed to enter the property are available 48 hours prior to check-in in our online house manual.
Thank you in advance for respecting our house rules, they are very important to us. Please keep a reasonable volume so as to not disturb our neighbors, and do not invite other guests or have parties. We would appreciate it if you wash any dishes you use during your stay. Please leave the house in the same condition you found it as when you first arrived.
My husband and I are Washington natives and UW graduates- go huskies! We got married and lived in our sweet cottage until our family out grew our home. We love airbnb and traveled Europe staying with wonderful new friends we met through this website. We hope to treat our guests with the same hospitality given to us in Croatia and Italy!
