The cottage has been recently restored, retaining and combining its charming old world character with the best in modern amenities such as a fully equipped kitchen, really comfortable beds, a plant filled sunroom, TV, stereo and wifi throughout.
Guests have full access to the entire house, including the gardens, the deck, and the hammock (which is suspended from two hundred year old ash trees).
Your hosts is available to answer any queries you may have and offer advise as to what to see in the area, should you so wish. However, your privacy is respected at all times.
Valentia Island is connected to the mainland by a road bridge at Portmagee, the nearest town which is exactly two Km from the cottage. Here you will find a small foodstore/postoffice and excellent pubs and restaurants. The island itself is chock full of interest and full of surprises.
We expect our guests to respect the house and its surroundings, to leave it as you found it, to follow our environmental guidelines when disposing of rubbish, and - definitely - not to smoke inside the house.
We do not allow pets.
Oil and electricity - metered and charged at cost - will be deducted from your security deposit after your stay.
