We are currently renting out a double bedroom over the summer. The bedroom has a smart TV, Playstation, desk and black out curtains.
It's in a basic small cosy house with access an airy open living room, kitchen.
You will be sharing with Maysa, a friendly lady from Brasil, who speaks Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and English.
We are a family, so we have board games, books, toys... It's a small, typical suburban house, the plumbing isn't great but it's definitely cosy and has a lovely big living room. I suggest that this is perfect to use as a base to travel from.
You have a TV in your room
We have a honky tonk piano and some instruments.
You will have your own room.
There is free tea and coffee in the kitchen, and you can use the kitchen and kitchen equipment, bathroom, toilet and chill in the living room.
Depends on the guests- if we have time and feel like it- we might have dinner together, or organise a BBQ or living room concert.
However, if guests prefer to do their own thing, that is completely fine- I usually give guests a key to get in and out.
Not suitable for clean freaks. We are a working household, it is a basic house (this is reflected in the price). It also means we appreciate guests who clean up after themselves and proactively see where they help.
Make yourself at home- which means, take care of the place and be considerate towards your hosts.
Our favourite guests wash their dishes and put beds away during the day.
During the week we generally have a quiet time from 9pm to 6am.
We may be a bit noisy between 6 to 8am.
I'm British, but spent more time living abroad than the UK. I'm a musician, promoter, translator, yogi and mother, and love to meet people with shared interests (especially musicians and yogis! and single parents of tween boys! (I know, it's specific, but...).
Currently based in North London, I run 2 listings -
1- London staying with me and my children, or rooms in the house when we're away (most holidays - especially summer June - September).
2 - in North Sumatra - staying with my parents in law in the rainforest.
I love this place and really know it like the back of my hand - I am happy to help your organise your visit and advise on transport, travel and trekking in the area.
