Located on the North side of Chicago in the quaint & hip Ravenswood neighborhood (1.5 miles from Wrigley Field), this airy urban retreat will delight weary travelers!
Modern condo with historic character in a small 4-unit brick building that is on the National Historic Landmark Registry. Private entry staircase leads you up to the open second floor living space, surrounded by windows with views of the trees - you'll feel like you're in a treehouse!
You'll be sharing the home with us during your stay.
We'll set you up in our office / guest bedroom. It has sliding frosted glass French doors, a very comfortable queen size latex foam mattress on the floor, dimmable overhead lighting, and 2 hooks to hang clothes. If you need to sit and work at a desk - well, you'll have that! Please note that the room is quite small, and best for a single person or couple that doesn't mind getting cozy.
The bathroom is shared, and shower timing is typically not an issue as long as we communicate our plans.
You are welcome to store food in our fridge, use the microwave, and help yourself to our Keurig, Nespresso or tea. If you need to do any laundry, we can point you to our machines. We also have an iron and hairdryer available for use.
Amanda and/or Zach will meet you at check-in to give you the grand tour. We work from home often, so we prefer to host guests who plan to be out and about most of the time.
Remember that this is not a hotel, but someone's home.
Leave shoes at the front door.
No hairspray. (Sorry, but it goes everywhere and is impossible to clean!)
Keep windows closed if A/C is on.
Always lock the door behind you.
I am an artist, living and creating in my homeland of Chicago. Zach and I met singing a'cappella at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and we live together in the Ravenswood neighborhood of Chicago. Zach is a musician.
We are health-concious, active, and love food! We are also road hungry -- we like to travel, and many of our trips end up coinciding with Zach's endurance races. He aspires to run not only a marathon in each state before he turns 50, but also complete a number of Ironman triathlons and Ultramarathons! Zach is a badass. I like to think he would say the same about me.
