Close to Babington House and the medieval village of Mells, St Edmund's Stables was once outbuildings to the main house, sleeps 4 adults, more if you want to add a cot or camp-bed for younger ones! The south/west-facing accommodation comprises a double bedroom with ensuite, twin room, additional bathroom, utility room and kitchen/living area. All rooms are on the same level, two steps up from the pivate patio and garden outside. Tea, coffee and semi-skimmed milk are supplied to help you refresh on arrival. Additional provisions can be supplied on request.
The comfortable furnishings are complimented by oak flooring and fittings, underfloor heating. Bath sheets and hand towels are provided, with hand soap at each basin.
The kitchen is fully equipped, inc. weighing scales, hand mixer and large fridge/freezer.
The Stables is in a quiet, rural location, private and set back from road at the end of its own driveway. Parking for two cars.
In order to reduce risk of allergies, the Stables does not accommodate pets.
It is a modern, carbon-neutral conversion, situated on edge of Mendip hills a mile from the c.11 historic village of Mells, and 12 miles south of Bath. Bath, Longleat, CenterParcs, Cheddar, Wells, Wookey Hole, Bradford-on-Avon, Hauser & Wirth Bruton all within 30 mins' drive.
Babington House and the village of Mells are less than a mile away.
Ideal for groups diving at Vobster Dive School.
The Vobster Inn (local pub) is a 10 min walk across fields, or a short drive. Local show a mile away in Mells and Coleford. 184 bus to/from Frome 5 times daily.
