Gentle breezes grace the River~Star* house, located on the river road opposite Mystic Seaport. Sea chanties from Seaport sailors fill early evening hours, while periodic whistle calls from steamboat Sabino provide a sense of living history.
Come enjoy an authentic 19th century captain’s home with morning breakfast served on a sun-drenched deck overlooking Mystic Seaport, and evening cocktails enjoyed in the lovely gardens shaded by a Connecticut-designated Notable Giant Sequoia redwood tree. I grew up in Mystic, but wandered far afield during the course of my career. River~Star* is my childhood home, and has many sweet memories for me and my 8 (!) siblings. Now that I am retired, I love returning to this magical village to enjoy the sense of life in a different time.
