Our Cedar House is nestled in 70,000 sq ft of nature, it is the perfect relaxing summer getaway.
Cedar House in the woods
The cabin is located in lac superieur, minutes from lake superieur. There is a ton to do in the area, from fishing to swimming to hiking and practically all just minutes away.
This part of the Laurentians is by far the best place to experience winter and the Canadian wilderness and Mont Tremblant.
The cabin is 2 stories, with 3 closed bedrooms, 1 living room, 2 bathrooms and a pretty nicely equipped kitchen (stove, dishwasher and all the essentials) that gives to the large backyard, cedar deck with sauna and outdoor shower and hot tub.
Well lit, large windows and skylights that give you access to nature views all year round.
It's beautifully decorated. Hang out in the spa in winter with cool temperatures outdoors, while keeping warm in the hot tub, if it snows while your in the hot tub it is even better and then take a dive into the snow and then run back into the hot tub.
The property is located in a wooded land (around 70,000 sq ft), gives you the chance to hike freely in the land, take the trail across the land that leads to a waterfall pool, perfect for taking a dip to cool off.
An organic garden is farmed in the summer (harvest what you need)
Access to lake superieur is minutes from the Cedar House (800m away), you will find a canoe there for your use. It is a little steep the access, but worth it for the reward of taking a dip into the lake. probably a little harder during winter but the views are probably worth it.
It's hard not to spend your entire day relaxing in the sauna or hot tub, or hiking, Take a bike tour around Tour du lac, feel free to use the bikes provided for you, Tour du lac provides the best scenery around lac superieur and it is quiet, rarely you see any cars.
What is nearby?
Lake Superior: 5 minutes from our cabins, Access included. This lake is amazing winter and summer. You get panaromic views that are just amazing. Perfect for swimming in summer, and in winter ice skating perhaps.
Lac Monroe: A nice lake inside Mont Tremblant Park, in summer it is perfect kayaking and such, you can rent your kayaks there too. It is nice just to see it from the bottom level or hike up to La Roche Trail to see it from the top. The park is open all year round, you can access these locations even in winter. nd the views are more awesome.
La Roche Lookout over Lac Monroe: a 5 km easy hike in Mont Tremblant park, an amazing view from the top.
Chute-du-Diable: an easy hike to see this waterfall, very close to the la roche lookout.
Another waterfall to see: Chutes-Croches, minutes away from each other.
Checking out this 4 locations, will you keep nice and occupied on a Saturday day, or any day of the week. Just drive to Mont Tremblant Park Secteur le Diable to get there.
These are some of my suggestions; there are lots of more places inside the park to explore, just by driving around and checking them out.
Another nice waterfall is chutes aux rats, a weird name yes but a really nice waterfall and higher than the other two.
It is an easy access and really short walk from the road, to get there it is inside Mont Tremblant park sector la Pimbina.
Make sure to stop at the bakery in St Donat, on your way in or out, it is what I do when I go there.
It is a good easy going day for spending a Sunday.
