Charming one bedroom cottage walking distance from shops and restaurants.
There is a charcoal grill available for use around the side of the cottage. It is shared with the adjoining cottage so we ask that you be respectful and leave the grills as you found them.
I live with my parents in the house located in front of the cottages. We travel back and forth between Chincoteague and Washington, D.C. When we are in residence please feel free to knock, ask questions, say hello. We try to afford you your privacy while staying in the cottages and are happy to interact as much or as little as you'd like.
You are welcome to pull back the driveway to unload your vehicle when you arrive. Once you have unloaded your vehicle, parking is available on the street.
There is a queen size bed in the unit. Please note that we do not provide sheets or towels and you will need to bring your own.
Also, please know that mosquitoes are bad on the island during the summer. They are worse between sunset and sunrise but you may want to come prepared with a bottle of "Off" or some other bug repellant, especially if you plan on spending time on the hiking trails or out kayaking. In addition you won't want to leave the cottage door open as they will happily join you inside.
There is no smoking in the cottage. If you choose to smoke outside we ask that you clean up your butts and not leave them on the ground. The cottages sit behind two single family homes, both of which are occupied so we also ask that you respect the people living in those homes and keep the noise level down.
When I travel I don't like to plan things out too much. I like to get to a place and see what there is to do and then make a decision based on my mood, especially when I go places I have never been before. I've been known to go to a train station, close my eyes, point at the destination board, and go wherever my finger lands.
I am neat and respectful of other peoples spaces. I treat the place I am staying as if it were my own home.
