First off, I was Franci's first air bnb customer.
Lets start with the good: His apartment was in a great location, very central to everything, nice and clean with a well appointed kitchen. He communicated very well from the beginning and was easy to reach for questions regarding the surrounding area.
- Very quick to make assumptions of what really happened during our stay.
- The host made inaccurate claims of the condition we left the apartment. (Here are some things he mentioned that were unfounded: smoking in the apartment, damaging his sectional couch, and claiming more than 2 guests sleeping in his apartment)
- Currently in the process of charging us for the alleged damaged couch and using an excessive "28 towels", yes thats right, he is going to charge us not only for something we can wholeheartedly say we did NOT damage in anyway shape or form, but for using "28 towels" as well.
I've had multiple experiences with air bnb hosts and have never had such a terrible experience like this before. Yes, I normally clean the accommodations before leaving, but unfortunately did not have time during checkout to tidy things up before checking out. I've since apologized, but we did NOT damage anything nor partake in any aforementioned claims.
***I'd like to add that we did pay a cleaning fee during the booking process***
I'll give Franci the benefit of the doubt, as our experience could have been from his inexperience as an air bnb host. He saw the dirty dishes/dining room and "excessive 28 towels" and assumed we had some sort of rage fest in his apartment. I really wish I could recommend his place to others but the way he handled this entire situation is something I wouldn't want anyone else to endure.
I could elaborate more on this but I'm still currently on vacation and frankly would rather be exploring Europe than writing a review. If anyone is interested in more information please message me and I will give you more details.
