Bridgeland is a historic part of Calgary with many century old houses. It is a premiere place to live given its proximity to downtown, Stampede and Bow River.
This apartment is only available for eleven days July 2 -13, 2015. Modern one bedroom, two bathroom condo in a four story building overlooking Calgary. This building is very secure with a key fob system on all doors and parking area.
Bedroom has an incredibly comfortable King size Simmons NXG 250 Plush mattress. Down filled duvet, Closet and drawer space will be cleared for you. A soaker tub and shower are part of the ensuite.
Kitchen includes a Keurig and/or a drip coffee pot depending on your preference. We will leave filters and coffee or Keurig pods to get you going. You will have basic condiments and full use of all the kitchen gadgets! If you are familiar with a Thermomix I will leave it out for you. Fridge, stove and dishwasher.
I think wine is important, so I will leave a nice bottle for you to enjoy. Red, white, bubbles or rose?
Our balcony is small, with two chairs and a brand new Broil King BBQ for you to use. The view is towards the Stampede grounds, so you can view the nightly fireworks from here. The Calgary Tower has started a very entertaining, ever changing light show that is fun to watch at night from here.
There is a full bathroom in the main area of the apartment.
Clothes washing machine and dryer are in the apartment.
The living, lounge area has very comfortable Lazy-Boy chairs and couch. The master bedroom also has a Lazy Boy chair and TV area. As you can see by the photos we have many antiques. Other than the kitchen table and chairs, which has see a lot of life, you will not be using any of the other pieces.
We have Apple TV and Netflix on both televisions. Instructions for usage will be in the guest manual. There is no cable TV. Fast wireless is excellent in our apartment.
Parking. There is secure underground parking in our stall.
We will be on our own holiday during your stay. We will be available by text, phone and e mail. We will have a local person you can call in case of emergency.
Your access to the building will be by using an Access Point key storage unit that will be on the railing at the front door. I will give you the numeric code to open the lock box and access the keys. This will get you into the building and into our apartment where you will pick up the fob to access the parking garage car door. The fobs can be used during your stay. The keys are stored in the Access Point, so you can’t lock yourself out as long as you have the numeric code. Check in and out is at your leisure.
Via e mail and text. A local person will be on hand if there is an emergency.
To get you comfortable at move in we are happy to have a 10 pack of train tickets for you, a bottle of wine and coffee and cream for your morning.
No smoking, no pets and no children. Two people maximum. It is a quiet building, so no parties. Quiet after the fireworks show each night. There will be one locked room and one room open but used as storage.
Just recently an Airbnb host in Calgary had $(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) damage done to their property by guests. I believe this is a very rare occurrence, but hosts and Airbnb are asking for ID verification which I believe is a good idea for everyone’s piece of mind.

We are a retired couple that have travelled extensively and have stayed in Airbnb properties in Spain, Portugal, France, England, USA and New Zealand. We are now in a position to host our own apartment. We have brought everything we love about this style of accommodation to our own lovely downtown Calgary condo for you to enjoy.
