Look over the fields and mountain ranges from the second floor windows. Slumber in a spacious room with a bit of an English Country feel. It comfortably fits two in the King size bed.
The room has a couch and side table to read and relax. The view from the window looks out over the hillside and the pasture with a goat herd grazing amongst the oaks. During summer months, there is a vegetable garden where you may harvest tomatoes, chives and whatever is in season if you like.
The upstairs bedroom and bathroom is your primary space but you are welcome to use the kitchen to prepare meals and the refrigerator usually has space for food which you are welcome to use the during your stay. There is also a washer and dryer if you need to run a load of laundry.
People will come and go during the day, as the sheep need feeding and chickens and cats need care. All are friendly and familiar with the area so feel free to ask any questions. Stroll through the gardens and enjoy nature and there are many birds nesting, bees buzzing and nature is alive and well on the farm.
During the winter we do get a little snow so depending on weather reports if a storm is coming in with snow elevation around 2800 you could wake up with the quiet white covering. It is beautiful but if you have a 2 wheel drive automobile you should wait for the snow to melt. Usually it doesn't snow more than a foot or so. This is primarily between November and March.
Smoking inside the house is not allowed and normally no pets are allowed inside the house. Take care when you use the facilities and leave things in the order in which you find them. We will of course take care of the sheets and housekeeping upon your departure. You are welcome to cut some flowers from the garden and bring them in if you'd like. Travel up and down the stairs with the light carpet can bring soil up the stairs so we do ask you take off your shoes at the foot of the stairs.
