“Nothing behind me, everything ahead of me, as is ever, so on the road.”
– Jack Kerouac, On the Road
Summer in the city, so much to enjoy!
Welcome, travellers, to your home away from home. C'mon in to your clean, bright, renovated private room on the 2nd floor of our century home. Enjoy our quiet street in the vibrant neighbourhood of Ossington and Bloor West. Around the corner from Ossington subway station and steps from cafes, bars and shops. Two large city parks a block away!
You will have access to the entire house, which includes living room, dining room, kitchen, laundry room, front porch – and a lovely tree-filled backyard with deck and comfy deck chairs.
Please note that I will be on vacation from July 29 to Aug 4 and from Aug 12 to Aug 20. The room is still bookable but I will not be here to share stories and sing songs. :-(
I have lived in Toronto for many years, so am happy to advise on where to go for fun, food and excitement.
If you want quiet time while you are here, no problem. If you would like to share stories on the deck (with a coffee or glass of wine), that's also great! We're always interested in hearing about your travels.
Interested in cycling your way around the city? If so, there is Toronto Bike Share around the corner, which allows you to rent bicycles for the day or week. You'd get access to 2,000 bikes at over 200 stations for short rides. They have a 3-day pass for $15. Alternatively, if you have a bicycle, you can stow it in my garage.
All of these establishments are steps from our front door: Banjara Indian Cuisine, La Bella Managua (traditional Nicaraguan), Lalibela Ethiopian restaurant, Northwood (hispter cafe), Tall Boys (local craft beer and great burgers), Bloomer's (vegan cafe), Dooney's cafe (breakfast, lunch, dinner), The Thai Room, etc.
