Such a pity to read such a sad review. Since the house is a charming old authentic fisherman's house (exactly as it is mentioned on AirBnb), from time to time things might get broken, like the heating. Yet, concerning the heating, as we can monitor it perfectly from anywhere in the world, we can assure you that the temperature never went below 22 degrees, this is the reason we didn't know it immediately that something was wrong. Once you communicated us that the heating was indeed broken, we reacted immediately. A plumber came and fixed it.
Concerning the washing machine, we were depended on the delivery service of the supplier where we bought a new one, upon your arrival, I fastened the proces by calling them multiple times. On the third day of your stay, the washing machine was installed. At first, there was indeed a smell. So we immediately called our plumber who came immediately and installed everything correctly. the smell is gone.
Concerning the garden: during your stay, there was a drought in Belgium. The grass HAD to grow in order not to die from the heat. Besides, the grass was not high anyway.
Concerning the noise: our house is located in the middle of a nature reserve, which is VERY unique in Belgium. Unfortunately, in the whole country, you will always hear some traffic. It is correct that there is one way were cars are allowed to drive 50km/h, you might hear this especially when it rained. This is beyond our powers.
Concerning the refund: we offered you a very reasonable refund, taken into consideration that you suddenly had to leave earlier and we weren't able to rent out the remaining days. Unfortunately, you did not accept it, writing to us you only would except an amount which was unreasonable for us.
Perhaps a five-star hotel would be a better solution for you...
