Great 10 day stay. Small and cozy, perfectly located in a rural setting with great garden and views---everything we wanted was witin a 20 minute drive including hiking, snorkeling, great restaurant (Ke'ei), food market, coffee, bakery, fish market, farmers market and more. Peter was a great host providing everything we needed including tips on snorkeling and hiking spots. Will definately come back for a longer stay.

Everything about this place was amazing. A very romantic, charming space with beautiful views. Peter was most accommodating and helpful.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay, hands down one of our favorite airbnb experiences!

The ocean view cottage is spectacular. The covered deck with the 180 degree view of the ocean is both a great spot for meals and just relaxing. The cottage is spotless and the grounds are incredible with the variety and lushness of the plantings. Our host provided us with a variety of fruit from the yard and lots of great insights and advice for travels and dining in the area. It was very nice to come back to this place with seclusion after a day of activities on the Big Island.

this was our first stop of 4 during a 9-day trip around the island, and it was definitely the favorite! there's just something so special about peter and barbara's place. it's perfectly situated on a hill close to some of the best snorkeling and beaches on the island, as well as some really charming and not too touristy places to grab a bite. every afternoon it would rain a bit and lull us into the deepest nap before clearing up for a beautiful sunset view from the back deck. okay, i feel like i'm starting to write a romance novel so i'll stop now. but seriously, STAY HERE!! oh, and even though there's no air conditioning, the place always felt cool and comfortable. this is coming from a 7 1/2-month pregnant woman who gets hot pretty easily. just do it!!

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage! The property is amazing, set on a hillside with lush flora and fruit plants (we ate many fresh bananas!). The deck has an unforgettable view of the ocean and the space was very comfortable and relaxing. They thought of all the details, and we loved having beach chairs to use! Eugene was an excellent host, perfect mix of friendly and professional. He pointed out beaches to us which was very helpful. We also used the binder left by Peter and Barbara to find groceries, restaurants and beaches and all of their recommendations were spot on.

Peter And Barbara的用户个人资料

Peter and Barbara have mixed histories on the Big Island. Peter, a 20 year resident and recently retired, is enjoying all the water sports available within a few minutes of his home, especially snorkeling and stand up paddling. Barbara is newer to Hawaii and commutes from the main land to join Peter with his adventures as often as possible. Both are passionate about the South Kona area and give back to the community that has given them so much by volunteering for Habitat for Humanity and Friends of Manini Beach. Peter is an avid gardener and when not on the water can be found planting, transplanting and trimming in his exotic Hawaiian garden. Barbara, when not following Peter on some bay or reef excursion, is busy identifying and learning the habits of the local birds that share the accommodations on their beautiful parcel of land. Both find time daily to sit quietly and watch incredible sunsets on Kealekakua Bay from the lanai of their recently renovated historic Hawaiian home.
