Rent entire house. Includes 1 bedroom, 1 bath, kitchen, dining room, living room & study/TV room in the Overlook neighborhood. Right off the Yellow MAX line, a few blocks from the I-5 Freeway Entrance, an 8 min walk to the historic Mississippi Shopping District and a 15 minute walk to the Williams Shopping Area.
The home is a historic craftsman style bungalow. You'll have access to the entire main floor, the back patio and the washer and dryer in the basement.
The main floor has a bedroom with a queen sized bed in it. You will have your own closet to hang your clothing etc.
There is a spacious dining room (with a fish tank...please throw a nibble to the old man in the tank) a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom and a study with a TV and stereo.
I have a small dog that lives here when you are not renting the house. Small pets (or very well behaved large ones) are welcome but require prior approval/extra security deposit and each pet counts as a guest so please make sure to include them as a guest when booking.
The house right off of the Yellow MAX line and are in easy walking distance of the historic Mississippi Avenue.
Mississippi neighborhood restaurants, food carts and live music venues are a short walk away. Overlook Park is a few blocks away if you have a dog or a child with you. The house next door to the historic Tiki Bar The Alibi which has a great karaoke night and across the street from Pinky's Pizza.
There is free wireless. A TV for movies in the living room.
The entire house and outside patio are yours except for the attic, which is shut off to you as it is used as storage. The washer and dryer in basement are also available to you. I do use the basement for work so I may be there some during the day.
I work out of the garage located behind the house and in the basement for part of the day. But outside of that I can be reached at any time by phone. Both the garage and basement have separate entrances so you won't see me unless you make an effort to do so.
The bedroom on the main floor has a queen sized bed. There is a pull out twin bed in the dining room AND a full sized futon in the study as well for extra guests.
The house is pet friendly. Well behaved dogs are welcome but please pre-approve them and count them as a guest when booking.
There are two window A/C units. I have replaced the windows in the bedroom and the living room to double hung so you can feel safe leaving the top of the windows open for a breeze in the summer.
Don't be loud, especially out back after 10 pm. Didn't think I had to state the obvious but there's been theft. Don't steal or break anything. I'm a single mom renting out her house to make ends make. Stealing things from me often means I won't be able to replace those items. Don't bring over strangers without prior permission. No smoking inside although, you can smoke on the back porch. Please make sure to properly dispose of your butts.
SMALL Pets are allowed but you must have prior approval. They do count as a guest so please include them in the number of people staying. e.g. If you are two people with two dogs then it will be an extra $30 a night.
I design baby clothing and also run a small online shop. I tend to read a lot and occupy my free time by cooking and then eating, writing, playing my bass and running (what better way to see Portland but running around in the cold, wet rain?)
