Explore beautiful Tromsø and region in this small camper born in 1988.
In a world of speed traveling, Homer is what you need for a perfect slow motion vacation through the incredible fjords of Norway! Mind you, Homer is an old grumpy uncle and won't take everything you want just like that... You need to negotiate with him and play together. It got us to North Cape and through 1,500 km of amazing landscapes smoothly but slowly. If you are looking for comforts and standards, probably Homer is not what you are looking for. It has its issues, small break downs, noises, stubborn behaviors... It all depends if you are in the mood. We were and certainly it was a fantastic experience. But it's at the more adventurous end of a RV trip. So just be prepared for it and let the experience take you! Freddy and his wife are wonderful and kind and available at any time for help. Bye bye Homer, you shall be remembered!
Homer was fabulous! Freddy was helpful in so many ways and did everything he could to make our time with Homer perfect. Thanks also to Karin who helped with shuttling Homer to the required places for us. Homer was very well equipped and very comfortable. The shower is a very decent size. We felt like we were taking our livingroom with us. The lower bed is huge and could accommodate a tall person. Homer is old but reliable. We drove to Nordkapp and free camped there overnight. What an experience! Over the 7 days, we used campgrounds on three occasions and free camped on 4 nights. Tomorrow we will visit the Lofoten area with Homer for a further 6 nights. Highly recommended.
Driving around with Homer was one of our best airbnb experiences. It is comfortable and reliable and has everything neet and clean. And Freddy is such a nice host! Flexible, easy to communicate with and friendly. We will have to go back to Tromsø again! I absolutely recommend the Homer if you want to travel around the Tromsø region!
