Western style single room with private bathroom and large shared living space in French Concession. Quiet and scenic area located right next to Shanghai Library Station. Walking distance to restaurants, gym, markets and cool streets to get lost on!
The flat is both the living space and a working studio for Jo. She is a painter and photographer and is planning to fill the new space with her new works. The space can very comfortably accommodate one single guest, with a large common space and a small balcony with two seats.
The guest would have access to a private bathroom with shower, a private television (with some English and French channels), a shared kitchen (oven available), washer and drier and of course wireless internet. The space is also fully equipped with heating system and air conditioning.
Jo has so far lived in Canada, Japan and the UK, and has often been a guest of other places and cultures as a traveler. Therefore, she welcomes interactions with guests, either regarding questions about the neighborhood and Shanghai or simply to share travel stories.
Jo occasionally receives painting students at home. Guests are welcome to participate if interested.
Jo is an artist and long time traveler. She has lived in a few different cities and countries around the world and is now in love with Shanghai. Favorite past travel destinations include: Crete (Greece), The Burren (Ireland), Kyoto (Japan), San Francisco (US), and Dunhuang (China).
