Stunning high-spec tastefully furnished cottage with wood burner, luxury bathrooms and beautiful enclosed garden. Well placed to reach the loveliest beaches, Dart riverside pubs and nearby Totnes.
Although it's in the village of Harbertonford, it's hidden away down a quiet road with a stunning enclosed garden with a babbling brook at the end of it. The village is a great place to stay for exploring Devon and the South Hams. The market town of Totnes with its excellent shops, restaurants and cafes is less than 10 minutes drive with Dartington Hall and Schumacher cottage just a couple of minutes further on. Dartmouth and Dittisham, a great spot for sailing, crabbing, boat trips or visiting Agatha Christie's house Greenways are a few minutes drive. Many of South Devon's best beaches, such as the award winning Blackpool sands and Beesands are also within a short drive. The open moorland of Dartmoor is also just a short drive away.
The cottage has been completely refurbished to a very high standard and is tastefully furnished throughout. There is a comfortable sitting room with a sofa and armchair, a wood burning stove, Sharp flat-screen TV, DVD player with a selection of DVDs and wi-fi.
The sitting room leads through to the fully fitted kitchen. The high spec kitchen has granite worktops, Bosch appliances (dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer and an induction hob) There's also a great Mocca master coffee machine, a Dualit toaster and a microwave. The kitchen is provided with plenty of good quality white china, glasses and saucepans.
You dine in the very bright conservatory just off the kitchen or if it's warm in the enclosed, private but very sunny garden.
The charming garden makes this cottage special. You can sit round the large round dining for breakfast or a little further bakc there is a table for two overlooking the stream.
There is private parking for two cars right next to the cottage. From the cottage it is a two minute walk to picturesque Harbertonford Bridge and the village pub and shop.
Upstairs there are two double bedrooms. The larger, ensuite bedroom has ziplink beds which separate into two singles. The high-spec bathroom has a walk in shower. The second family bathroom also has a shower and great attention to detail including lights which come on automatically when you walk into it.
The excellent village shop and post office sells a vast range of food and drink including locally grown produce. The local pub, the Maltsters Arms is just two minutes walk from the house. Three of Devon's finest Dart riverside pubs: the Ferry Boat Inn at Dittisham, the Waterman's at Cornworthy and and the Maltsters Arms at Tuckhenhay are just a few minutes drive.

I'm available by phone and email through out as we use a keysafe system. But in emergencies I live just 3 miles away.
I used to run with John, the carpenter who did most of the work on this cottage before he moved up North. He learnt his trade on luxury yachts and reallly has done a superb job on this cottage.
Minimum stay is 3 nights. You can stay for 2 nights but will have to pay for 3. The cottage is kept to a very high standard and the cleaning costs (to the owners) are almost £100 per changeover. Up to one dog is allowed in this cottage.
Well behaved pets are accepted if notified in advance with a charge of £30 per pet per visit. Pets must be kept downstairs.
We do not generally accept children under 10 as the stream is a potential hazard and has a drop down to it.
Strictly no smoking in the house although you can smoke in the garden.
