This is a beautiful older updated home in a great residential part of Vancouver and was within walking distance of many good restaurants and supermarkets. A really nice and comfortable home with a very accommodating host.
This was our first experience with airbnb so we didn't know what to expect, we were not disappointed. We loved our stay in the Gojevic home. It was everything we hoped for and more. The house was very comfortable and near everything we had planned to do in Vancouver. The children enjoyed the hot tub and the grandchildren had a blast on the trampoline. Our host was kind enough to leave a book with the workings of the house and area attractions. They couldn't have been anymore accommodating. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
We really enjoyed this lovely home and glad we stayed here instead of a hotel. We felt like we got the true feel of Vancouver with the amazing backyard with all sorts of produce growing and being able to pick raspberries to eat every day. The porch was so lovely with grapes growing all over and we really wished they were ripe to eat when we were there! We enjoyed sitting on the porch drinking coffee in the mornings. The location was perfect for us. We bought the bus pass and got around fine. The kids enjoyed the trampoline. I really wished we had time to use the hot tub but we were so busy with seeing the sights that we didn’t have time. We also really appreciated the welcoming basket with some wine and other various snacks, particularly when we got in late the first night! We are cat lovers and the resident cats are so sweet and like to keep you company. My niece is a little allergic to some cats but we knew about the cats, and she had no problems. (All the wood floors definitely minimize problems if that is an issue for anyone). Deb and John were also accommodating to a few requests and helpful with feedback when we were trying to decide what we would do while we were in Vancouver. The only downside was we were in Vancouver during a heat wave. The temperature in the house was fine most of the time, but it was a little warm upstairs with no Air conditioning or ceiling fans. This wasn’t a problem except for going to bed at night. The downstairs was cooler and cooled off very quickly with leaving the windows open (and doors sometime briefly if needed to pull cooler outside air through). But there wasn’t much of a breeze on 2 of the nights so it took a few hours to cool down upstairs even with the windows open and couple of fans. We know it was the luck of being there during the heat wave but I might suggest one more larger fan to use upstairs to help draw the outside air through the house when it is warm. For some perspective, we are from Houston and used to A/C so a little spoiled in that regard. Even with the slight warmth, we would stay here again.

Thanks for the feedback, Laura. I'll add more pix of the bedrooms and review what's there. There may not be a pic of the downstairs room. The grapes on the back porch are Concorde and better suited to juice and jelly. I made the wine from juice I bought locally but the rhubarb wine was made from rhubarb grown in the backyard. Sorry about the heat wave, it's a rare event in Vancouver but with 'global warming' may become more of an issue in Vancouver. I've never been in an air conditioned home in Vancouver though I don't doubt there's some and likely more in the future. Thanks for staying in our home. We hope you enjoyed your stay. All the best.
We enjoyed ourselves immensely. This was as much due to our hosts as to their lovingly restored and maintained home. We felt that we were their guests, not their tenants. Although we did not meet them face-to-face, their graciousness was ever in evidence, not the least in the fine bottle of wine that they left for us to welcome to their home. What made it special was not only its fine bouquet and taste, but also the fact that it was the product of their very considerable wine-making skills.
