Our friends were staying at a nearby resort, so we were looking for a place to act as home base that wasn't insanely expensive due to Coachella being the same weekend.
Deborah was a great host. Her home is absolutely beautiful and cozy, and she even left treats in our room in case we were hungry. She was incredibly flexible with our check-in time (was after 10pm) and welcomed us warmly. Bedroom was at the end of a short hallway by itself. The bathroom is not connected but it's next to the room, so we never had any privacy issues. House is in a very quiet neighborhood backing up to the hills - great views for morning runs. She told us about a nice trail that goes around the hills and neighborhood, but we didn't have a chance to try it.
We weren't there much (we were there mainly to sleep and spent most our time at the resort), but if we had, we would have felt very comfortable - the atmosphere of her and her home are very inviting.
Our next visit to the Palm Springs area will likely involve staying at a hotel since the prices will be back to normal, but this is definitely a very viable option for anyone looking for a more homey experience.
