Enter this earthy chic 2BR/2BA home via a terracotta tiled courtyard leading to a screened-in porch. Find your way to the living area with stained concrete floors and a new kitchen. Beaches are only 15 min. away from this quiet, modest neighborhood.
I'm told this style home is called a flounder house due to the absence of an entrance to the home street-side. Don't be fooled by it's simple appearance from out front. You enter the property from a small gate next to the driveway. From there you walk into a private courtyard with terracotta tiles. My house was built in the 70's and is a single story ranch style home.
Prior to your arrival I will provide you with a keypad code for the entry gate and front door to the house. Aside from full use of the home you're welcome to use the courtyard space for lounging and grilling out. The utility room houses the washer/dryer and in the backyard you have access to a rustic outdoor shower with hot and cold running water. I have a couple of beach chairs, an umbrella, and foam water noodles you can take to the beach with you. I also have yoga mats, a rebounder, jump rope and a hula hoop. Parking is on the street in front of the house.
I will be staying in my office apartment which is about 10 steps away from the house. We will share the outdoor living space. I will make myself available to assist you as needed but please know I work from my office and often have client engagements by phone. I also travel a fair bit for work so it's possible I won't be there at all, if that's the case I will make sure someone is available to assist you if needed.
Bradenton itself is not a destination . If you choose to come here it's because you either know someone nearby or because it's centrally located to a variety of places. I really enjoy the location of my home; there's easy access to main roads that will take you to the beaches of Anna Maria Island (10-15 minutes), and the cities of Sarasota (40 minutes), St. Pete (40 minutes) and Tampa (60 minutes). I look forward to sharing some of my favorite places with you. Also, I lived in Mexico for nearly 9 years and I speak conversational Spanish. If Spanish is your first language, no worries. You'll be just fine here.
*** Local Resort Tax of 5% of the gross rental applies to all reservations and is NOT included in the nightly rate and will be due upon arrival in the form of cash or check.***
My home is quiet and peaceful near the end of a cul de sac, and while it is simply furnished it's comfortable and a lovely space to relax in. Mature guests who enjoy this sort of atmosphere will be a good fit. Guests who want to get rowdy should seek elsewhere. ;) We will be sharing the courtyard and outdoor spaces. No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises indoors or out. My home accommodates a maximum of 4 guests. If your child can walk they count as a guest. You may not bring any additional guests to the home for visits nor for overnight stays.
My home is a work in progress. I love it. It's simply furnished, comfortable, spacious and free-flowing. I don't have many treasures on display, but please know that the few I do have around and about are special to me and that they carry either deep meaning or great memories. Enjoy them with your eyes only please.
I'm trusting that you will treat my home and me with care and respect. Should you break or damage something I trust that you will let me know immediately and that you will make appropriate amends. I trust that you will not bring illegal substances into my home. I trust that you will behave with kindness, optimism, and assume that my intentions are good.
Want a 5 star review? ;) Aside from the above please take out your trash, place used sheets and towels in the laundry room on top of the washer, tidy up. That should do it! Thank you!
Florida is a relatively new home for me, I've been here and in this home since late 2008. I grew up near Chicago, spent most of my adult life in California, nearly 9 years on the Caribbean coast of Mexico and then here to be closer to some family. I love the easy going and casual lifestyle here. Being close to Anna Maria Island beaches is a dream and in general it's just easy to get around.
I love adventure, traveling to exotic places, and spending time with good friends. Professionally I'm an executive coach and corporate trainer and find myself traveling frequently for work both domestically and internationally. I love to learn especially about health and wellness as it relates to food, learning how to take better care of the planet and hope to inspire businesses to do the same. I'm pretty low key and keep things simple. When I go out with friends I enjoy great food and a cold beer on ice with a lime, movies, shows, road trips, and experiencing something new.
Getting to know new people and sharing life stories makes Airbnb perfect for me! I look forward to meeting you.
