The place is a single room studio in a condo overlooking the beach with a murphy bed. There is a lot of security and it seemed that there were many families and elderly staying there, which we liked, as it was very quiet at night and not full of frat party types. The place was nice and clean and Cristobal was friendly and quick to respond to any questions we had. The bed was pretty uncomfortable and there was no screen door to prevent bugs from coming in and we got many mosquito bites at night. I would say this place was fabulous for location and there is a place to play pool and get food a 1 min walk away and you are literally on top of the beach, but would benefit greatly from a more comfortable bed and a screen door given Zika and etc.

It was a wonderful stay there. The ocean view from the room was very beautiful. Cristobal is a very nice host. Always reply very quick and gave me some information about the scene around that is very useful.

We could not have asked for a better place to stay. Cristobal was a tremendous host--kind and hospitable. This place was just what we needed...foot access to the beach and only a quick drive away from El Yunque National Forest. The balcony view and the constant sound of the waves provided us with much needed renewal. We hope to return to this gem of a place on our next trip to Puerto Rico!

Cristobal was SUPER responsive to us in every correspondence. We conversed over SMS, e-mail and (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN). He even sent us pictures of the studio room before we arrived. The room was perfect and appeared to be newly renovated. The view from the room was absolutely stunning and it was very clean. The murphy bed was comfortable & it was a quick short search to find the pillows in a cupboard. Towels were supper fluffy, but there were no washcloths or hand towels. Also, no dish towels in kitchen. Nice dishes and cookware! There *is* a TV, but no cable hookup. You could only watch DVDs if you brought them. The wifi was strong, but it kept dropping out. We believe the cablemodem was getting flakey. This was a problem when trying to check-in for our flight. We needed TV or Wifi to get news and weather as we were there during hurricane season. We were delighted to find a sun-hat & beach towels available in the room! And someone had left behind sunscreen. Due to hurricanes stalling the weather, humidity was an issue (no ocean breezes) and AC would have been deeply appreciated. We just ran all three fans. The last 2 days brought more wind--in the morning, from the ocean-side of the room, and in the evenings, from the city-side. Louvered entry door was a blessing! Ask for GPS coordinates of the building's gate-house to find the actual entry into the parking lot. Our GPS took us to the back of the building. If you are noise sensitive while sleeping, this could be a problem. Motorcycles racing, trucks with ENORMOUS speakers playing political statements and music until 2am, and the surf was loud even from the 20th floor of our room. We could not close the doors to cut down on noise due to heat/humidity. The beach is not groomed because sea turtles nest there, so there was some questionable trash, especially after the holiday weekend (Christopher Columbus Day).

I LOVED this place! What a view! What a beautiful beach! I went to Puerto Rico for a two week vacation and my second week was spent in this jewel of a place. I wish I could post some of the pictures of my experience here! I am a solo traveler and felt very safe staying here. Sitting or standing at the balcony at any time of day or night admiring the heavenly view was a great spiritual experience. I loved eating my breakfast and the other meals I prepared sitting at the beautiful dining table in the balcony while enjoying the view and the ocean sounds. The beach across the building was great. I enjoyed walking at the beach and of course bathing it. I also loved the view of the stars and the moon while laying in bed. I also visited El Yunque, the Kioskos, Balneario Montserrat and the town of Luquillo. I ate 3 meals at Kiosko #2 La Parrilla, one breakfast at Aromas Café in the town of Luquillo and one breakfast at McDonald's, yes McDonald's but I had a McCriollo which is a Puerto Rican breakfast sandwich and the coffee was so good. During my stay the Island experienced a major blackout that left me without electricity for 1 1/2 days but like you read above I was able to find places with backup electric plants and the building had a backup electric plant to service the elevator, the lobby and the hallway lights at night. However some what inconvenient, it did not spoiled my experience. Without hesitation I can say that I will love to stay here again on my next visit.

Cristobal was an amazing host. He gave us some recommendations that ended up being highlights of our trip. Hikes to pristine, beautiful, secluded beaches. Tips on which waterfalls were less frequented by other tourists. Ah, and the food!!! He gave a great recommendation for the best breakfast we've ever had. The location of the apartment provided the best view we could've asked for. We spent most of our time on his balcony enjoying the view. The only issue we didn't think would be so much of a problem was there's no ac in the room. This posed as a problem for us getting some good sleep. It got pretty humid. Other than that, the apartment was very clean and he provided extra towels which was an oversight for us. There is a full functioning kitchen incase you feel like cooking. But you really don't want to miss out on the dining experiences at the Kioskos 1 mile from the apartment. (Also Cristobals recommendation!). We ended up getting a hotel room for the last night so we would be close to the airport for our very early flight home, but all and all we enjoyed our time at Cristobal's.

Our host met us at the hotel even though our flight was delayed several hours. He gave us tips on which sites to see and how to beat the crowds. He messaged us when the internet went out to make sure we were OK. We felt very taken care of. Great location with an unbeatable view of the beach. Easy walk to the beach. Well stocked kitchen. Very safe area. Definitely stay here if you visit PR! Thank you for everything Cristobal!

Nature lover, in search to the most fulfilling experience as a person. And as a parent. Live near the beach and adore everything exploration brings to me. Also, loves what tech offers me like full access on my phone etcetera. Life is what you make from it. And what you acknowledge from the obstacles you surpassed in your quest for life.
I share a small area of my property to keep on sharing with new friends what I have got to enjoy over and over.
See you soon!!!!
