Welcome to Sedona! This pretty home is a peaceful & quiet no shoe/ non-smoking home with meat-free kitchen. Great location. House feels like a sanctuary.
Super hero cat who thinks she is the queen of Sedona. Great for workshop/conference attendees and active explorers of Sedona's magic hiking and biking trails.
Shared bathroom with another guest. Easy to walk to trails/stores from this location.
This home welcomes people from all religions, nationalities & genders.
My neighborhood has lots of birds, and you may spot a deer or coyote walking by.. the javalinas in the cover photo visit this time of year at night, enjoying the plums form my tree.. I'll loan you a flashlight so you can check them out.
I am happy to chat and share info on Sedona and make recommendations to my guests.I also have a cool audio file I will play for guests with restuarant and hiking info. Sometimes I will invite them for tea or to join me on a neighborhood walk, although often guests have busy schedules, and thats ok, too.
I am happy to flow with what works for both parties.
My house is a good fit for independent experienced travelers.
I am sorry, but I cannot accommadate early arrivals. If you need suggestions on what to do in Sedona before 3, I would be more than happy to provide them.
I dont accept cigarette smokers even if they smoke outside. E-cigarettes are probably ok.
Very important to
keep the cat in the house. It is a no shoe house. Quiet at night.
I am allergic to cats, but think i will be ok if you just keep your cat out of the room. Is this ok?
Sorry, my cat is like royalty around here and she HAS been in the guest room.. yes, guests can close the door but this cat loving domicile isnt the best for people with cat allergies.
What does veggie kitchen mean? you love veggies right?
Yes I do love veggies but what that means in this case is the kitchen is meat free. I am asking my guests not to bring meat into the house even as leftovers. If thats a problem for you, please disclose before booking.
I only smoke outside so isnt that ok for a non smoking household?
Sorry but I really am allergic to the smell of cigarette smoke and it tends to cling on clothes and linens. E cigarettes dont have any smell so those are ok.
How close are you to stores and my retreat/workshop?
Pretty darn close, usually. Its a short walk or car ride.
Can I do laundry?
Sorry. But there is a laundrymat close by.
DO YOU HAVE WIFI?
I see you only are accepting one guest. What about my wife/friend/brother/cat/parrot?
To keep the peace and noise levels down I usually do take only one guest and dont accept pets, but... occasionally I have been convinced with a very dynamic reason to make an exception.
Oh no! I really want to stay and meet the coolest cat in the world but your calendar says booked.
Email me anyway. I do have two rooms.
What about check in times? Can I come in at 2 am?
Check ins are between 3 and 8pm by appointment .Any later check in needs to be discussed and ok'd before the booking. Sorry, but early check in's and luggage drop off before 3 wont work.
What about curfews?
Nah, none of those. We just want quiet at night and all cell phone calls to be taken in the living room as not to disturb others.
What do you provide? Do I need to bring towels, etc.
I do provide bed sheets, and bath towels. If you forget shampoo, soap etc, feel free to use mine. I do not provide wash clothes, though, and if you are one of the people who needs one, you may want to bring your own. I also provide a hiking guide book and probably have a spare hat around if you need one.
How loud is your house? I want to meditate at 2pm.
My house is actually a very quiet home. There is no tv, and nights are usually very quiet. Mornings the birds sing out loud. But people are moving around, talking etc, after 9 so if you need to sleep during the day this might not be the best bet.
Can I have something shipped to your home?
Probably. But PLEASE email me to discuss before shipping it. Someone's package went missing because of a miscommunication.
All I wanna to do is veg out in your room for the whole day. Is your house a good fit for me?
No, its not a good fit. I prefer active travelers who are inspired by the red rocks and who are out and about. Yes, you are welcome to come in during the day for a nap, to make lunch etc but if you need a place to work online for the whole day or need a place to lay around and recover, my house is not a good fit for you.
How warm is your home? Will I be in charge of the thermastat? I love to wear shorts at night in winter!
This is an energy-conscious home. My house is high 60's at night during winter.. I do provide plenty of blankets, Nepalese wool slippers and can even loan you a fleece, but you will definitely need sweat pants and warm clothes for nights in Sedona in winter. I can provide a space heater that comes with instructions on how to use it responsiblity.
I love travel and adventure. I am a tour guide and also a photographer/videographer.
My cat Fig is the coolest cat in the world and she is also a traveler. Check her reviews!
My favorite poem is by Shel Silverstein.
You have a magic carpet
That will whiz you through the air
To Maine Or Spain Or Africa
If you just tell it where
So will you let it take you
Where you have never been before
Or will you buy some drapes to match
And use it on your floor?
