We were met at Ariel's apartment by his father, who was very helpful in explaining anything we needed to know about the accommodation (Ariel was unable to meet us as out flight was delayed). We were dropped off right outside the apartment by the airport taxi service (about 20-30 mins away from there for a set fee of approximately £20) which worked really well. The accommodation itself is in a great location - in walking distance of various sights/activities, restaurants etc. There is also a tram stop very nearby and public transport was efficient and easy to use. The apartment was spacious, tidy and met our needs perfectly as a base during our stay. There were 5 of us and this worked well but if you wanted to make more use of the kitchen than we did (we only had breakfast there) this could potentially get cramped with a larger group. Basic facilities were provided - two showers (one with bath), two toilets, Wi-Fi, crockery/cutlery, oven, bedlinen and towels...We also were given various sets of keys which we didn't need but could be handy for a big group. The place seemed secure - there's a code for the front door then two other doors before getting into the flat. These need to be kept locked at all times. There were no problems leaving the keys early in the morning before our flight. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay in Budapest in 'romantic app 44', so thank you Ariel and if anyone reading is looking for a simple, good value pied-à-terre for a group wishing to explore the city then this one should do the job for you!
