Welcome to Beatles country!!
We are just a 20min walk or 5min taxi ride to Liverpool John Lennon Airport & therefore late arrivals & early departures are definitely ok with us!
Our house is a very modern, bright & very young (built Dec 14), 2 bedroom cosy corner terrace at a very quiet spot around 20min drive south east of Liverpool city centre, just along the River Mersey which is a very pleasant 25min walk through the lovely historic grounds of Speke Hall.
We are one of the very few places listed within walking distance to Liverpool Airport! The house has 2 bedrooms, 1 which is for guests, a lounge & kitchen. There's a bathroom next to the bedroom with a bath & shower which heats automatically. There's also a bathroom (toilet & washbasin) downstairs.
Guests have access to he the kitchen & lounge. There's a kettle, toaster, microwave, juicer, rice cooker & full gas hob & oven together with a large fridge/freezer. Various herbal teas & coffee available.
We also offer a wide choice of tea & coffee & other beverages. If there's anything in particular you would like us to have in stock for your arrival - such as honey or lemon for example - just let us know.
Time permitting, we could take you on a short cycle ride around the neighbourhood to the shops or the nearby listed country house Speke Hall or River Mersey. One of us should be at home to greet you.
Please provide a photo of yourself (not a dog or a cat or a nice meadow ) on your profile. It must show your face clearly and be a recent (within 1yr) photo. This is requested for security reasons as we are not a hotel. Thank you.
We kindly request that you remove your foot wear on entering the house. This is because (believe it or not, we have been asked this question) the carpets are very light & we would like to keep them that way.
We are a very friendly, non smoking couple (me 43, Nora 35). I'm native to the North West (the Lake District) and Nora is Hungarian. I love to cook and I travel for a job and as such can pass on excellent travel tips for your onward journey wherever you may be heading. We moved to Liverpool December last year (2014) after 20yrs in London so if you need tips on the Capital as well as Liverpool, then look no further! I'm also very knowledgeable about Scotland as well so if Scotland is part of your travel plans, feel free to ask when we meet.
We both love our food and I particularly love seafood. Nora can, depending on when she's around make a great coffee. If the TV is switched on, your likely to see a cookery, wildlife or travel show!
We are both nature lovers and we've some lovely areas to explore around our area. If we are available, we can take you on a local bicycle ride - we've 5 bikes!
