Welcome to the foothills of the Sonoran desert in North Scottsdale, Cave Creek and North Phoenix. Come stay in our beautiful casita or in one of our comfortable main house bedrooms. This is a great base for exploring the North Phoenix Valley.
Depending on how many you are we would expect you to stay in our Casita (if the term in new to you, think about a desert version of a mother-in-law suite) or one of our main house bedrooms. The casita has a private entrance from our front courtyard while the main house bedrooms are accessed through the main entrance.
Each room sleeps two guests in Queen beds. If you would like two or three beds (i.e. two or three bedrooms), make sure to book for 3/4 guests (for two bedrooms) or 5/6 guests (for three bedrooms).
Our home is nestled away in a small ranch community (though there are no horses nearby) with easy access from major roads.
For the casita, we provide a personal key code that allows you to open the electronic door lock to come and go as you please.
We are available if you have any questions. If in doubt (e.g. early morning or late evening) just text us!
Q: Is the property pet free?
A: Yes the casita is pet free. A cat lives in the main house. While guests usually come to the main house for breakfast, we are equally happy to serve you breakfast in the casita, just let us know.
Q: Is there a BBQ?
A: Yes we have a Weber barbeque and you are more than welcome to toss your steak on!
Q: Can we spend the day in the room?
A: Yes you may, however since both of us work from home the main house (kitchen, laundry etc.) isn't available during the day.
Q: Is there a pool?
A: Yes! Our Pebble Tech pool was completed in July 2015. It is awesome!
Q: Is there a view?
A: Yes, the front yard has a view of Black Mountain, amazingly covered by large Saguaro trees. The back garden has a territorial view, i.e. desert sand, desert plants and arroyos (washes).
Q: May we bring a small, tidy pet?
A: Sorry no. The casita is completely off limit to pets and our own cat wouldn't appreciate company in the main house.
Q: Can we come and go at will?
A: If you are staying in the casita you can come and go at will. If you are staying in the main house then we would expect you to take off in the morning and return towards the end of the day. We are flexible, but remember that we work from home and are on the phone all the time.
Don't make a reservation on behalf of someone else. If you have questions, please contact us.
For 1 bed (1 bedroom) book for 1 or 2 guests. For two beds (2 bedrooms) book for 3 or 4 people. For three beds (3 bedrooms) book for 5 or 6 people. E.g. Three friends traveling together who want separate beds should book as 5 guests. If in doubt, ask.
If you are staying in the casita, you may come and go as you please.
Kay and Håkan are both in the computer industry and work from home. If you are staying in the main house, we ask that you enjoy adventures away from the house during the day.
No pets (we have a cat in the main house).
Kay and I were relocated by our company to Redmond, WA, in 2002. After 10 years living with a stunning Pacific Northwest landscape, that unfortunately is covered in clouds a large part of the year, we decided to invest in our need for sun and warmth and bought our dream home in Scottsdale, AZ.
Now we commute and try to spend as much time as possible in the sun.
It is our privilege to be able to share our home with you. We will work to make your stay enjoyable and memorable in the best possible way.
