This home is wonderful, cozy and perfectly located in a picturesque village along the loch and a short walk to Eilean Doonan Castle. We felt lucky to see the castle without huge crowds and while beautifully lit at night. Christine is an especially nice hostess who really went out of her way to make sure we had all that we needed. The home was spotless and the kitchen is very well equipped for cooking. We felt so relaxed, welcomed and at home here. It's an exceptional property.
We have stayed many times in AirBnb homes, and Christine is one of the best hosts we have met. She is very friendly and helpful. Her lovely house is s perfect place to stay for a family vacation in Isle of Skye. It is only about 10 minutes walk to Eilean Donan Castle, which I have shot landscape photos in the morning and evenings before other tourists arrives and after they have gone home. It is also a short or reasonable drive to popular attractions such as Loch Portree, Neist Point, Kilt Rock, and so on. On the back of her house is a well maintained private garden with nice flowers and plans. The rooms are very clean and beddings are comfortable. We also like the fruits, butter, and breads she got for us. There are also cafe, tea, milk, etc. And wifi. Everything we ever needed. Thank you Christina.
I stayed here during a trip to explore the Isle of Skye and the Highlands. The location is absolutely amazing. The stunning landscape surrounding Dornie is hard to convey via photographs. Christine is a very gracious and kind host. Her cottage is lovely and has a great deal of charm and character to it. Also it's well-situated -- a very short walk to Eilean Donan Castle.
Stayed here in July 2016, 2 adults, 2 kids (aged 9 and 12) Christine was an excellent host - welcoming, responsive, and generous. She offered to stock the house with groceries for us, and pointed us in the direction of whatever we needed in the area. Basics: The house was impeccably clean and well-equipped with games, appliances, cookware, and most importantly, tea, coffee, and sugar. The wifi was reliably strong. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom nice. We had no issues. Overall: The house itself is lovely, but the setting is the real star! Less than 10 minutes to Eilean Donan on foot, and in a very sweet little village on a loch. A nice combination of quiet and well-located. The Dornie Hotel, down the street, provided good food and drink and a nice atmosphere. The house is convenient to Skye, several nice hikes, and Plockton. We would certainly stay here again! Highly recommended.
