Scott's place was adorable and well worth the price. If you want to experience the feeling of living in Berkeley then I recommend staying here. I loved the adventure of climbing a ladder to get to bed and staying in the middle of Berkeley! If you're the kind of person that doesn't like small showers or needs close and all day parking, then I wouldn't recommend this to you. But, if you're going to be out exploring Berkeley and San Francisco all day and don't mind staying in small lofts, then I say this is the perfect place to stay in your vacation! I had a lot of fun and would definitely stay here again.

The other guests and I had issues with cleanliness (the previous guest's personal items had not been cleaned out), broken amenities (loose screws around loft bed railing, broken turning latch on window), and safety (really tall ladder used to get to the loft bed - not the host's fault at all, but it's just something to be aware of). Scott, the main host, responded pretty promptly via text and we ended up sorting everything out (I ended up not staying, but I received a refund and my concerns were addressed quickly). The location borders Oakland and Berkeley which is convenient for anyone looking to stay in the bay area. Parking was mostly fine since we checked in on a weekend, but it might be an issue for anyone staying throughout the week because residential area had a 2-hour limitations on parking, from what I remember.

Great place to stay at if your trying to avoid the expense of San Francisco. Location is borderline with Oakland. Nice place, quiet, and really close commute to San Francisco. House is small and ladder is steep but it's still worth the price and location. Me and my girlfriend enjoyed staying here and wouldn't mind staying a second time. Scott was very quick to respond to my messages and was very helpful. Thank you for the stay!

The loft space was great. My partner and I lived there for a month prior to our marriage and had a wonderful stay. Scott is extremely helpful and communicative. It is super duper small, however the amazing outdoor spaces and location make up for it. I am a professional chef and although the kitchen is tiny I managed to make more than a few gourmet meals in it. Overall we would highly recommend!

Wonderful loft, slept really well. Place is on one of the busier streets in Berkeley, but the noise doesn't get through. Cozy, comfy place overall with an interesting setup that feels just right.

The location of this space is priceless. Close to BART, stones throw to excellent coffee shops, great grocery stores, walking distance to miles of bookstores, restaurants, coffee, treats, and not far from the university. It felt like the perfect blend of residential on the edge of a multitude of amenities. The space was great for my solo weekend. It was comfortable, compact, and cozy. Despite my first trip up the loft ladder being a bit intense (turning around took thought), the space was very comfortable, fort-like, and do-able. It felt a bit like the tiny home experience within a house, including access to beautiful garden space, amongst a sweet neighborhood. Unique and satisfying. My quick interaction with Scott, as I headed out, left me with a solid impression that he was friendly and accommodating. He absolutely was proactive in his communication and willing to help if needed. All things went smoothly, and I'd absolutely return!
