Booked Mark's place for my Mom and her cousins. It was very last minute but Mark was very prompt in getting back to me so I could make the booking. My family enjoyed their stay here, the rooms were a good size and the beds were nice and comfortable. Mark was very helpful during their stay. I would recommend to anyone looking for a good spot at a decent price.
Mark's place is a little awkward with two bedrooms right next to each other. Our bed was firm, the kitchen is nice, and everything worked pretty well. Parking was very tough in the evenings but we managed to find spaces both nights before too long. We did not spend much time in the apartment and it was 5 minutes from where we wanted to be. Overall the place is fine for two couples but you need to be friends.
We are extremely happy with our stay at Mark's apartment. We were a group of 8, including two children, travelling to New York from various parts of the world for a celebration. One week before arriving in NY, while my wife and I were already travelling, our reservation for a place in Brooklyn was cancelled by the host without explanations and the website agency (not airbnb) did nothing to help It seemed impossible to find a new vacation home in such a short time but Mark had the perfect solution and even transferred us between houses in his car. We had the misfortune of being there when hurricane Sandy struck and, while Mark and his wife had their own problems due to the storm, they helped us throughout the week. When my wife and I could not find a hotel room the last day of our stay in NY, he offered his nice, clean and comfortable studio, which saved us from sleeping under Queensborough bridge! Thanks Mark!
