Our brick home has a warm interior with stained wood, enclosed porch, and open alcove above the living room. On the North end of Nicholasville the neighborhood adjacent to lots of shopping and food, and is just minutes from Lexington
It was the interior brick and woodwork that sold us on this home years ago when we bought it, along with the open layout where the upstairs alcove overlooks the living room. Nearly two decades later, we've raised our family there and still love it.
There is driveway and street parking. Everything is available to you except the garage; we store some equipment in the garage that's needed for maintenance on our properties. On occasion someone will get some of this equipment - they will enter through the garage door though, they won't be coming in on you, and this doesn't happen often. We also have a shed in the back someone may come to get something out of, also rarely. If we know someone is coming by while you're there, we'll give you a heads up. It's usually our daughter who comes by.
Since this is our home, we're likely on vacation or working elsewhere so we won't be there to personally greet you - but always just a text or call away. Our daughter or grandson is close by if you need anything.
Here is how we arrive at accommodating 7: master bedroom, king bed (2, but could fit three, say a child), 2nd upstairs bedroom queen bed (2), downstairs bedroom twin bed (1), living room sofa couch/air mattress (2).
No pets (at least without prior OK), no smoking (at least inside), and just respect our home. No Third Party Bookings (someone booking who won't be staying there)
On stays longer than 14 days, we will come in to clean around day 14, nearly always will the cleaning fall between days 12 and 16 and we will give you a heads up on scheduling.
Love photography, history, traveling, technology, sci-fi, comics, music and volleyball. We're experimenting with Airbnb (as guest and host) and other aspects of the share economy, having a blast so far.
As a host I try to think about what I would want as a guest and make that happen. Have always lived in central Kentucky, so can probably answer any questions you have about the Bluegrass.
Music: just about anything but rap; Mozart, Aerosmith, Katy Perry, it's all good to me. Particularly interested lately in symphonic metal: Within Temptation, Evanescence, Skillet, Nightwish.
Comics: Grew up on DC and X-Men, read more independents these days; used to own a comic store. Loving the transition to digital comics.
Volleyball: still a decent C/B setter. Would have to shake some rust off to run a 5/1 or 6/2 but always willing to give it a go.
