Up to four guests. Private room with four post queen-sized bed, 6 ft leather couch, desk, TV and dresser. Private bathroom with tub and shower. 7 ft leather couch in living room. Country setting, 3+ acres by Beaver Lake. 30 minutes from UA, 20 minutes from XNA.
Frog's Leap Cottage is clean, comfy, homey, and relaxing. Three wooded acres are ideal for quiet privacy. The cicadas and tree frogs call to each other around the koi pond, pool and jacuzzi areas. It's like living in a tropical forest Ecolodge in Costa Rica, without the (annoying) Howler Monkeys. Other critters include Zannie, our sweet Bengal kitty, who has been known to sleep on guests' beds if they let her into their bedroom at night. Guest bedroom is large enough to accommodate three persons. An extra long living room couch will sleep the fourth person, if needed.
Enjoy being in our split floor plan Ranch style home, including use of part of the refrigerator. Your private suite has queen-sized bed, flat screen cable TV, leather couch, dresser with clean towels and toiletries, nightstand, chair, desk, digital alarm clock and wireless internet. Your private bathroom has a combination tub/shower and blow dryer. Living room has a brand new leather 7 ft couch for an additional guest. Enjoy the jacuzzi and pool located on the private rear deck. June through September, you can take a cold plunge in the outdoor pool - it's excellent for circulation to go from hot to cool and then back again.
We love meeting new people and making their visit memorable. Tracy is friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and has a flexible schedule. Ken is outgoing, has his own construction business and is available as needed. We love residing in "The Natural State" with a slower pace of life and lower cost of living. This is the place to enjoy all that the area has to offer - whether you want to visit Crystal Bridges (a world-class museum), rent a boat on scenic Beaver Lake, shop and take a tour in Eureka Springs or just relax in the peace and quiet. Come visit during Bikes, Blues and BBQ in September, or see the sights in NW Arkansas anytime.
We accept pets on a case-by-case basis. We have a short-haired kitty named Zannie that is very friendly but quite territorial towards other pets. She may follow you around the house or want a treat from you so we'll show you where we keep the cat treats. Try to not let her out for the safety of the lizards, birds and chipmunks outside. Close your bedroom door at night or she may want to keep you company at night and sleep on your bed.
We enjoy a relatively laid-back lifestyle. Respectful. Gracious. Some pets may be welcome under special circumstances -namely if they are not a threat to our somewhat territorial cat. No unauthorized guests, excessive drinking or loud parties. We prefer for food to be eaten at the dining room table. This is a low dust household and we store household cleaners, chemicals, etc. in the garage and vacuum regularly. Smoking is allowed in outdoor areas. If possible, please park at the TOP of the driveway or next to the Escalade.
My partner Ken and I enjoy connecting with other people, whether we're scuba diving in the Caribbean or volunteering at one of our local theaters. We're both friendly and respectful. Everyone is unique and that's what makes life interesting! When we travel, we spend most of the time exploring the outdoors above and below the water. We like to see the sights, get out and meet the locals. We stay pretty busy when we're at home too, managing our own businesses and being a part of the community.
