The entire floor is yours. Private entrance off the street. There is a backyard, but it belongs to the upstairs neighbors. (There are also 6 chickens out there, that they let out on occasion. A view of a garden and chickens from your living room? Where else in New York are you going to find that?) :-)
I live in the apartment year round, and only rent it out when I'm away on vacation. If I'm already away by the time you check you in, I will leave a set of keys in a secured location for when you arrive.
I no longer have a cat! Just FYI in case you have allergies, and see mention of her in the reviews. :-)
An important note about renting in New York: very few of our apartments are brand new condos. ;-) This is an old house, nearly 75 years old. Nothing wrong with it, but the base boards need a coat of paint, you know? Otherwise, it's clean, it's beautiful, it's SUPER convenient...and it's home. m very happy and excited to share it with you!
