Cozy private room at centric area of Mexico City, 15 minutes to Downtown, 20 minutes to recreation areas (Condesa, Roma, Coyoacan). Walking distance to major public transport facilities (Metro & Metrobus) and clean.
Tere was very gracious and accommodating during my stay. My flight arrived Mexico City in the very early morning, and Tere rearranged an appointment so that she would be available to let me into her apartment. The apartment is just a block from the metro Xola on a busy avenue, La Calzada de Tlalpan. Despite this, the apartment itself is mostly quiet, as it is in the building's interior. The apartment, bedroom, and bathroom were very clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had plenty of hot water. The only minor drawback about the bedroom is that its only window opens into a passage in the apartment itself rather than the outside. I kept the curtain closed for privacy and this made the bedroom a bit warm for me - as I like sleeping in a cool room with lots of fresh air. Apart from some ambient sounds from nearby apartments (some voices, a bit of music, a few yappy dogs in the morning), sleeping and relaxing were very peaceful.
I had to be back in Mexico to complete some paperwork, and found Tere's place. As a former Mexico City citizen I think it's a great place and you will get all the things as announced and even more: it's a centric place with the main public services near you. The private room is clean and comfortable. I felt secure on the zone (Alamos, Benito Juarez suburb). Tere was so kind to make it happen even with the short notice (1 day), and always available to recommend me some routes on my journal (there was a lot of changes since the last time I was in Mexico City). If I had to make a one line review it will be: "Tere's place makes you feel like at home"
