Our charming Victorian Station House is nestled in a beautiful valley in Mid-Wales, just south of Snowdonia National Park. Retaining many of its original features, our house is ideally situated for exploring the stunning Welsh countryside and coast!
We have two lovely bedrooms (see our other listing to book both rooms) in our converted train station house, which are privately situated on the first floor of the old Station Master's House.
Built in 1863 as a station on the Cambrian Railway, our grade II listed family house is now no longer in use as a station serving the village. However, the line is still in use with trains running from Birmingham to the welsh coast every two hours - a charming reminder of the building's history!
Wireless internet (free) is available throughout the house and guests have use of a lounge/dining room. Tea and coffee is also available - we have a Nespresso machine in the lounge for you to use.
Breakfast is included in your stay with us! We offer a continental style breakfast with homemade bread, preserves, cereal and fruit.
We (Jack and Laurie) live in the house with our friendly cats Ritzy, Idris and Maiko, who, despite their efforts, are not allowed in the guest areas! We are on hand to talk about the many things to do in the local area.
Station House has two double bedrooms (kingsize beds) in the old Station Master's House which share access to the guest bathroom.
Guests are also welcome to use the dining room / guest lounge
The kitchen is not available for self-catering.
We offer our guests space and privacy but are happy to interact!
The two bedrooms share access to a single guest bathroom, which you will have private access to should you be accommodating both rooms or if one room is vacant.
The bathroom is in the process of an upgrade so doesn't currently have a shower - just a bath tub for washing, but we can promise you hot water!
No smoking in the House.
Together with my wife Laurie, we escaped London to start an adventure in mid Wales and have never looked back! We love exploring and discovering new sights, sounds and flavours - in far away places as well as on our doorstep! We're both designers and are lucky to work from home - our beautiful converted train station - with our three chirpy cats; Ritzy, Maiko and Idris.
We're conscientious, approachable and friendly as both guests and hosts.
GO IN AND WIN!
