Like hotels (suite w/ multiple rooms vs. single bed rooms), we charge for guests over four to cover out of pocket costs: discounted rent, linens, towels, supplies, beds, utilities, maintenance, cleaning, breakage, wear and tear, etc. The price is the same. Like hotels, since the set up, washing linens and cleaning are the same as if a guests stays a partial versus the entire stay we need a maximum count of guests for your stay.

The discount/fee is $25 per person per day/night over four guests. Thanks for understanding.

The cleaning fee covers 5-6 hours of one time cleaning, cleaning supplies, bathing supplies, breakage (so I don't need to file a claim or take from your deposit for a broken wine glass) and maintenance.

I'm required by the City of San Diego to charge a mandatory occupancy tax.

Welcome! I’m looking forward to your stay in our OCEAN & SUNSET VIEWS La Jolla Vacation Rental!

You are in luck; we may have a few days before or after your stay if you would like to extend your holiday. To guarantee an extended stay you should book early as I have instant booking on several sites and we sell up to 25-30 days of the month.

Thinking of an early check in (before 4 pm) or late check-out (after 10 am) as I hire an additional housekeeper to ensure the place is ready for you and/or the next guest. ($75+tax).

Check in time is 4 pm and check out is 10 am as the housekeepers need 10 am to 4 pm to clean this big place, wash linens and towels for potentially 22 people. If you do not make prior arrangements and end up checking out late, we will charge you for the housekeeper’s time to wait outside and/or hiring our additional housekeeper to get the place ready for our next guest. Let us know as we would love to accommodate you in advance. Thanks for understanding.

We want to have the right beds (including doggie beds if necessary) and the proper supply of linens (while trying to save the planet). Before you arrive please confirm your guest count if there are more, which beds will be used and if you have pets. If we don’t hear from you we will assume your guest count in your reservation is correct and you are using the following bedrooms first, the den suite second and then converted garage bedroom last. If you have more guests in your reservation please let us know ASAP so we may coordinate with housekeeping for the proper bed configuration and linens.

We have a variety of mattresses and pillow construction, i.e. tempurpedic (foam), spring, foam, Sleep by Number and spring and firmness so I can direct you to the best bed for your needs.

For your personalized comfort we have blinds and curtains in each bedroom, extra blankets and ceiling fans too.

The neighborhood is super quiet so the only thing that might wake you up is the birds singing.

We have cribs, hi-chairs and play pens to rent!

Laura’s place was amazing, super easy to run to the ocean, although the uphill climb back is rather rough. Her place was very clean very spacious and thoughtfully laid out. Her communication with us was great and arriving late at night was no problem at all!

Wouldn't recommend visiting in the summer as there's no air conditioning, just a few box fans and the place gets fairly warm. Other than that it's a nice enough place.

How I got started: While pursuing my 20+ year career in sports marketing and sales (Adidas, NBA, Ticketmaster, SKECHERS, etc.) I moved every few years. So in 1996 I bought my first home and started the "shared economy" by renting rooms to colleagues and friends while remodeling the homes on the side too. Before you knew it I had several homes.

After surviving hardships that almost killed and destroyed me (domestic violence, $300K forgery, insurance fraud, guns (illegal assault weapon/ convicted felon), maybe drugs, alcohol and finally a divorce) I fought for "justice" and earned my safety independence back to control my own destiny! So I started converting my homes into entertainment vacation rentals to pay the forgery/theft, legal bills, and my mortgage.

My house contractors inspect, stage and manage the home remodel, stage, clean, fix, replenish, garden and we offer special request services.
