All windows overlook the private garden.
The apartment is located in Trastevere, the 13th district in Rome, one of the most famous and picturesque, whose name comes from the Latin “trans Tiberim”.
The district, going from Piazza di Santa Maria to Piazza Sidney Sonnino, from Via Trastevere to Porta Portese, up to Trastevere Station, offers many different styles.
By night, Trastevere is filled with young people and tourists, who appreciate the many clubs and pubs. This is doutbless one of the liveliest districts in Rome, quaint and picturesque, offering plenty of “osterie” (typical restaurants) such as the funny "Cencio", "La parolaccia" -where customers and waiters throw insults at each other- "Il Rugantino" and “Da Gigetto", and pizzerias, as well as cinemas, street markets -that one in San Cosimato has been recently renovated- banks, pharmacies, supermarkets, small shops and groceries.
The main spots for the night life are those bars located in Piazza Trilussa, the nearby club “Freni e Frizioni” (“Brakes and clutches”), one of the hottest place for the ‘apertivo’ (happy hour), Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere -where the famous Roman church is located- and the bar "Callisto", populated until the small hours.
In the summer there is plenty of events and parties lighting up the Tiber river.
Trastevere is also home to the John Cabot University, a private American university founded in 1972.
In the area you find tramway 8 (mon-sun: 00-23:59 · every 12 min); Piazza Venezia/Gianicolense. In Piazza Ippolito Nievo you find also bus lines 3B (Piramide), 780 (Piazza Venezia), H (Termini), N8 (Termini); Trastevere railway station is approximately 450 meters away (5 min on foot).
In the area you find both paid on-street parking spaces (blue lines) and free parking (white lines).
