Wonderful house with incredible wood detail and river view located in the center of Rhinecliff, the hamlet of Rhinebeck.
You'll love the view and extremely convenient location!
The house sleeps 8 comfortably, 10 in a pinch, in one each of king, 2 queens, and full sized beds. The 2 queens live on the top floor loft, which is open to the great room on the main floor. That floor combines the living/dining/kitchen areas with vaulted, timbered ceilings, a large outside deck (with grill and patio furniture), and tiled bathroom with clawfoot tub.
The street level floor has a master bedroom (king bed) with its own full bathroom. Next door is a smaller bedroom with a double fold out bed and separate 3/4 bathroom across the hall.
The house is equipped with fast wi-fi, a 42" digital flat screen, cable, Blue Ray DVD player and NetFlix, central air/heat, as well as two gas fireplaces. A lovely and fully equipped kitchen, with its hand crafted copper counters, completes the experience.
Experience the bustle of a tiny, vibrant hamlet surrounded by the beautiful Hudson River Valley countryside, in the heart of Dutchess County. This circa 1850, multi-level, 2500' house was masterfully rebuilt a few years ago, using many original materials, including hand mortised timbers from the original Rhinecliff Hotel.
The house is about a block from the river, affording river and Catskills views.
It is also one block from the historic Rhinecliff Hotel and a wonderful waterfront park, a few blocks from the Amtrak Station (95 minutes to Penn Station), a walking minute to the local favorite China Rose restaurant, and five minutes driving to the village of Rhinebeck, the home of the oldest inn in America, as well as of many shopping and dining attractions, many of which were visited by the guests of Chelsea Clinton's wedding, held on nearby River Road.
Along with nearby Red Hook and Tivoli, Rhinebeck boasts some of the finest dining in the Valley, with Le Petit Bistro, The Local, Mercato, Calico, and Panzur.
Enjoy the area year-round, with fall foliage, fairs and festivals, the CIA ('Culinary Institute of America'), Bard College and it summer music festival, the Omega Institute, Aerodrome air shows, wineries, spas, golf, boating, the FDR Library and Museum, Vanderbilt estate, Eleanor Roosevelt's Val-Kill cottage, and other historic sites, as well as skiing at Windham or Hunter Mountains, and boating on the River.
We will keep the maintenance of the house up. Occasionally things break and malfunction without notice. We will take all reasonable steps to fix them as soon as we learn of them. This may include having to have someone service something during your visit if that is the only time it can be corrected. We will work with you as closely as possible to minimize any inconvenience in the unforeseen chance this occurs.
I'm a mother of 3 young children and local real estate agent who has a passion for the Hudson Valley. My family and I moved to the area in 2011 from Brooklyn and have never looked back. We love the incredible people, outdoor activities, amazing food, and culture.
Now I have the pleasure of not only assisting people in the buying and selling of their homes, but the joys of vacationing in our incredible community!
