This spacious, light and air-filled home is unique in that it is located in the historic district, walking distance from everything. It is also in an architecturally significant building and maintains many historic details within the home.
My dear friend Stephanie "manages" my home in my absence. Stephanie is a former French lawyer and she lives nearby and will meet and greet you, and offer suggestions on restaurants, sites to see and things to do. She is a telephone call away if needed. Maybe you will have the opportunity to know her and her Sicilian veterinarian husband too. They are both charming people. Upon booking this home, her mobile telephone number will appear in the House Manual info. Please make sure you contact her upon booking for important information!
Please contact Stephanie, the on-site/nearby rental manager when you book this home for your vacation. Her info will be in the House Manual, that you will have access to upon confirming your reservation.
I expect guests to let us know if anything does not work, or if anything is damaged in the home so repairs can be made before the next guest arrives. I also expect guests to throw out all their garbage in the bins located on the street, around the corner. This includes emptying the refrigerator of foods and beverages and throwing out ALL unused food items, including salt, pepper, sugar, coffee, oil, vinegar, etc. (Especially anything opened or used!) Please do the same for your toiletries and cosmetics -- take them with you or throw them ALL out. Stephanie, the on-site manager will ask for a 50 euro cash deposit upon checking in to quickly cover any purchases made on a guest's behalf, minor damage issues that are mutually agreed upon, lost keys, etc. This will be returned in full prior to the guests' departure if there were no issues. Finally, I expect guests to arrive between 2 PM and 9 PM on their arrival day, and leave before 10 AM on their departure day. Exceptions are easy enough with advance discussion. I will e-mail each guest a list of house rules prior to "checking in".
I'm originally from NY, however my husband and I live near Palm Springs, California. We moved here from Siracusa, Italy, where we lived for over 5 years. We are both lawyers and we love our 3 dogs - all rescues from Siracusa's streets.
