We can organize local tour guides within Meru and it environs, short and long walks and Safaris to the nearby National park.
The home is in the serene suburbs of Meru, with friendly neighbors all who have lived in the area for a long time. The security is guaranteed by a lockable main gate, and a night guard. The place is peaceful and quiet. Wake up to chirping bird sounds and smell the fresh filtered air away from the city noise and pollution.
There is public transport available just a kilometer from the main road. Taxis are relatively cheap, under $4 to town and can be hailed for you.
The house is owned and run by Judy, who is a middle aged lady that loves to network and make friends of all walks of life. She is a counselor by profession and has been involved in several social work activities both in the local church and in the Meru community.
Kitchen garden and Farm with Chicken
Judy is present during the stay. You can interact with her as often as they wish to give you a feel of the Meru culture and rich history
There is an onsite cook on standby, so arranged meals are just a call away at an additional charge. Feel free to give prior notice should you want any meals prepared for you or if you have certain preferences.
Smoking allowed outside the house in the garden area.
Pets allowed in moderation, the owner expected to take care of their own pets.
I am the second born of two children born and raised in Meru by my mum Judy. My sister and I moved from Meru a couple of years ago to study and work in Nairobi and only go to Meru for holidays. My mum is therefore mostly at home alone and we thought airbnb would be a good way for her to make new friends while hosting people in her house - which she loves. We host several groups each year from several countries. If in Meru or its environs and looking to stay a while, please do come over. You are definitely guaranteed to enjoy yourself.
