This is a 4th floor apartment with no elevator, divided over two floors. Located at the bottom of Rua do Almada it's just a corner away from Porto's main square. Walking distance from train and metro stations. Magnificent views of Clérigos tower from the roof terrace.
A spacious and welcoming home from home occupying the top two floors of a beautifully restored XIXth Century townhouse situated in the heart of Porto's historic old town. With excellent views from the private roof terrace across the jumbled rooftops of the Unesco World Heritage site, this recently renovated and completely modernised apartment provides a fantastic base for anyone wishing to explore the stunning city of Porto and it's surrounding area. The climb up can be a little bit of a challenge as there is no elevator, but once up there the view is totally worth it!
The apartment sleeps 2 or 3 people comfortably with a large double bedroom complete with en suite bathroom and shower downstairs, and a single bedroom next door. The fully equipped open plan kitchen and dining room leads directly out onto the charming and spacious roof terrace, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee, sitting down to a tasty evening meal as the sun sets behind Clérigos Tower or just lazing away the afternoon and soaking up the sunshine. The cosy living room offers the opportunity to sit down and relax, listen to music, read a book or watch a film. The TV is not connected to cable, but we have a DVD player and it has a USB input. All towels, bedding, toothpaste and hairdryer are supplied so there is no need to take up extra space in your bag and there are electric fans for the summer and oil heaters for the winter available too.
The cooker is set so 1 is very hot and 6 is weak.
If you need a baby cot we have one available on request.
If you smoke, all we ask you is that you do it out in the terrace whilst enjoying the great views :)
Between the three of us, someone will always be there to welcome you, show you around and give you a few tips on our favourite places to visit. During your stay and in case you need, we'll be a phone call away!
Hello there! Thank you for stopping by :) We're all family and are thrilled to welcome you to our beloved city, which we hope you'll find as beautiful and inspiring as we do. Paula is a kindergarden teacher, passionate about foraging for anything that has classroom potential (which, in nature, is pretty much anything from branches to acorns). Raquel is a retired school teacher, with a passion for massage therapy and healing others (if you need a back rub, you'll know who to ask!). Martha is a filmmaker, passionate about surfing, walking her dog and eco living (and eating mostly!) Hope you enjoy meeting us and we hope to make you feel at home :)
