If you are interested in having a massage, my good friend Sierra Bingham recently started her own business, Motecito Body, after working at the Four Seasons Biltmore Santa Barbara Spa for four years. She does amazing massage as well as myofascial release and True Body Alignment instruction. Look for her online at Montecito Body. She will come to you!

Travel is probably my favorite thing in life to do. I love experiencing new cultures and meeting new people, which probably originated in childhood as we spent time in Europe with relatives and lived at an ashram in India. I love staying in homes or small guest houses rather than in big resorts because you get a more authentic experience of how people really live. And oddly enough, my favorite thing is having a set of keys to the place we are staying. There is something about that....a solid sense of place.
I once spent six hours online (before Airbnb) trying to find a little guest house in Montego Bay, Jamaica because I didn't want to stay at the all-inclusive resort where the Green Globe conference was being held. The daily adventure of getting to and from the conference was the highlight of the trip! Eating at local places with my driver named "Finger", the car breaking down in the middle of the ghetto and the locals offering me a beer while I waited...these are the things I remember from that conference!
I have also always dreamed of creating an eco lodge in some exotic part of the world. Being an Airbnb host gives me a taste of living that dream.
