These are 2 lovely adjoining apartments, dates from the mid-1800s, in a fully restored house located in the heart of San Michele Salentino. The property, has been carefully renovated to the highest standards.
We rented both apartments which was very convenient as we had an adjoining door so we could share facilities when we wanted to. Gerardo is a very friendly and helpful host and he speaks good English. The apartments have been restored to a high standard and seem genuine and authentically Italian whilst having the modern comforts. Everything is , clean and well done with some lovely antique furniture. San Michele is a quiet traditional town with little shops, good restaurants and a decent supermarket a short walk away. The street is very friendly, the neighbours greeted us with smiles and chat, even bringing us fruit. The top apartment has a spacious roof terrace. The piazza is 2 minutes walk away and during the summer time there are frequent concerts and events in the evenings. So we enjoyed a wonderful stay at Stonehouses and would recommend it highly.
