Location is great - great area and neighborhood. Since this is Laura's full time home it does feel like it's lived in compared to a hotel experience or dedicated rental. There's a lot of stuff packed into the house. Laura emailed instructions and other info which made it easier to get familiar with the house and surroundings. Overall, the location is tough to beat, just make sure you are aware there is no AC if you rent in the summer.
A buddy's wedding brought me to Denver for the first time in years. I didn't know much about the city, but after some research decided to go with Laura's house in Highlands. I couldn't have chosen a better location. The home was incredibly clean, comfortable, and quiet. In addition, the house was within walking distance of restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and outdoor activities. I would definitely rent again and would recommend this house to any friends or family looking for a place to stay while enjoying the city.
Laura's home is super comfy, inviting, and stylish - just what we were looking for! The location is great, as we were visiting friends in the neighborhood, and each morning we took an easy 5-min walk down to 32nd and Lowell to grab breakfast, coffee, and window shop. Laura checked-in to make sure everything was going alright and was easy to communicate with. We very much enjoyed hanging out of the pretty back patio in the evenings with a glass of wine. The only thing to keep in mind when booking is that, like almost every older home in Denver, there is no AC. We had the unfortunate circumstance of staying over a weekend in which each day topped out over 100 degrees, so the house was warm. We opened the windows and had a nice breeze, but the upstairs master bedroom (even with fan) was toasty. We made do, and again, had a really nice stay. Just raising awareness:)
Laura was wonderful! We arrived to perfectly printed instructions and a welcome bottle of wine. How thoughtful! The space is very beautiful! We were only two, but could easily accommodate four, with two bedrooms, two baths and a spacious living area. We especially loved the backyard, where we were able to relax after a long day in Denver. The neighborhood is incredibly charming, easy to walk to 32nd street for coffee, restaurants and bars. Parking was beyond easy, so we were able to use our car to get around Denver, but took a few Ubers too - and they were all very inexpensive. Such a great location!
Our trip was great. The house is very quaint and tastefully decorated. Some quirks as it is an older home but we really enjoyed it. Very convenient location although the cold weather did not allow us to walk the neighborhood as we would have liked. Laura was a pleasure to work with in answering any questions we had.
