A short walk to a private, white sand beach, our home is surrounded by tall trees providing privacy and quiet to make it a perfect family vacation getaway. Amenities include a 40 foot heated pool, large irrigated lawn, and outdoor shower. To protect our registered guests, we will NEVER accept wire transfers. And all rentals require a conversation with the owner before a lease agreement is completed.
3 blocks from Montauk's most beautiful private ocean beach, this custom built 4 bedroom plus loft upside down home offers a 16x40 heated pool in a private setting with newly renovated blue stone coping, a shaded patio, outdoor shower, a large grass lawn, central air, upper deck with outdoor gas grill, and private doors from master suite and guest rooms to exterior. The 1,000+ sq ft open air living room with cathedral ceilings is a great area for festive dinners.
Guests will have access to all areas of the house except the 2 car garage, which houses an additional office/studio space plus queen bed on the 2nd floor (for additional fee if long term rental.) Cable TV with premium channels, high speed internet through Optimum, Sonos audio system, and an upstairs and downstairs high resolution large flat screen tvs.
We do not plan to be in Montauk during rentals.
The house sits on the eastern edge of Hither Woods, an exclusive area in Montauk, with fully wooded, minimum one acre plots, offering privacy and safety. You can ride your bike, take walks to the beach or the sound (through Hither Woods Preserve) or hang out on the property in peace and quiet.
Once you have stocked the fridge, there is little reason to leave the home. However, Montauk's LIRR train station is a 10 minute cab away. Ambassador and Hampton Jitney buses will drop you off in town, a 7 minute cab ride.
Cleaning fee - $200 with no shedding dogs. (Cleaning fee - $300 for guests with shedding dogs.
Additional guests beyond 6 - $75/pp/night
No cats please (allergies).
Guests will have access to all areas in the house, deck, patio, and pool (seasonal.) There is a private ocean beach within walking distance.
The owner will not be on the property during the rental.
Please do not adjust the pool heater beyond its current setting. Central air should be kept at 72 degrees. Excessive use of pool heat and air conditioning will result in security deposit deductions. Gas meter will be recorded before rental.
Non-shedding dogs are preferred, but we will accept other dogs with an increased cleaning fee. No cats. No smoking (inside.) No parties beyond registered guest list unless agreed to beforehand for an additional fee.
No wedding parties. No parties without guests listed on lease.
I am a happily married husband of 21 years with two teenage children, ages 16 and 18 as of 2014. I founded a film production company in 1993, and have successfully run the company out of our Tribeca studio ever since. I live in the West Village of Manhattan, where I am a Community Board member, after years as President of the local Little League. We are quiet, well educated, and a fun loving group.
