Cosy, tidy and clean private room
Nice fresh and clean apartment, good position in the city, budget traveler's first choice and also ideal while looking for a home in Yangon!

Soundous and Enrico were very warm, helpful, and considerate hosts. They did everything as promised, on time, and with pleasure. Their optimism and interesting backgrounds made for excellent conversations. The room was basic but okay. Noise outside made sleeping difficult, and the walk up the stairs with luggage (we brought bicycles) is a challenge. One has to get used to ants, which are probably all over Yangon. But that aside, the neighbourhood has many opportunities for good food, blending in with locals, and small shops of all kinds on a main street nearby for buying supplies, repairing stuff, etc. The Inle lake is within walking distance, which is a bonus. In terms of value, it's probably 6/10 (Yangon is quite expensive in relative terms), but the hosts are great people, doing good work for the community with a lot of interesting international experience and opinions to share.
Moving to Myanmar isn't the most straightforward endeavour. But these guys made the entire thing so much easier. And a whole lot more fun too, of course. Helpful and hospitable, Soundous and Enrico really are the perfect hosts. They're also extremely well-travelled and full of great tips, especially for those of you who are flat-hunting (themselves being proud tenants of the best flat in Hlaing). So whether you're moving to Yangon like me or just visiting the country shortly, I would thoroughly recommend staying with this fantastic couple. Thanks again guys for everything! :)
In total we spent three nights and had a great stay at Enricos´ and Soundous` place. Both are great hosts, very welcoming and aimiable persons and provided us with all the information we needed. Anytime again. We liked about the neighbourhood that it was rather a living area, which was not touristic and not as busy as the citiy center.
I really don't know what to add to everything that's been said about these two. "Wonderful" doesn't even begin to describe the lovely Enrico and Soundous. Be ready for interesting conversations, good food and overall great time. Practical things to consider: - Location is good, not far from the airport and easy to explain to taxi drivers. - The room is exactly what it looks like in the picture, the mattress is comfy, a mosquitoe net keeps you safe; all amenities in the apartment are working. - Although no wifi in the apartment, they let you use their phone with pretty decent wifi. - The hosts can give you a map of Yangon and some tips on what to explore. - Bring earplugs if you are a sensitive sleeper. The street can get pretty loud but that is true for most of Yangon and adds a bit of spice to your adventure :) Have a lovely stay and know that someone in Kazakhstan is envious of you as you are about to meet amazing people that will most certainly become your friends.
Great place to stay if you want to get a little bit out of downtown and enjoy the more relaxed but still vibrant area between Inya Lake and the University...even more important: you will stay with two nice, friendly and interesting guys - Susurico and Enrico can tell you a lot starting from the best place around to grab some saté and fresh tapped dark beer ending in inspiring discussions about the strange situation of this country. Thanks guys!
I was greeted after a stressful journey by being taken straight to a local beer station: perfect. We then went for some food and had a really nice evening. The ggave good tips for navigating yangon, and ideas for what to do. They room itself is ideal with a mosquito net as an added bonus as well.
