Dining on the terraceThis is the villetta Panoramica
Villa Panoramica 180 degree views

Situated in an elevated position, just above the delightful village of Argegno, on the shores of Lake Como, breathtaking, panoramic views of Bellagio, Comacina Island and the 'Balbianello' promontory await you from the 120 meter private terrace.

Our apartment can comfortably sleep 6 people.
We've called it Villa Panoramica for a reason!! Located on the top floor of a small brand new house, built in the grounds of an 18th century villa, it is completely self contained and although only minutes walk to the village, is very secluded.
Everything here is new, but fits in perfectly with the style of the houses built along the lake and in the mountains over the last centuries, with wood beam ceilings, Italian tiled floors throughout, teak beamed ceilings.

The apartment has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (one en suite) open plan kitchen and living area.
You have a private parking space for a small car on the property and free parking on the road below the apartment. The terrace is for your own personal use and is furnished with dining table and chairs, swing chair and sofa. We also have a gas fired BBQ.

I will meet you on your arrival and show you around, make sure you understand how things work, I will explain how to get around on the lake and help you with any restaurant, tour bookings you might need. During your stay, I am always available in case you run into difficulty.

INFORMATION BOOK IN APARTMENT: In the apartment you will find a very helpful information book, giving you lots of information about the lake, lake transport, what you should see and do while you are here.
In Tremezzo, just 20 minutes drive away, is the Villa carlotta with it's very important botanical gardens and in Lenno, the Villa Balbianello, I really recommend a visit there, ask me for details, as I am a qualified guide. the villa was used for lots of films, such as 'A month by the lake', Star wars, the return of the clones, and the latest, Casino Royale,
Switzerland is just across the mountains and Lake Lugano, although very different, is very beautiful and offers walks and shopping. St. Moritz, the jet set resort is a few hours north of the lake and I can offer you the possibility to ride on the Bernina express train, across glaciers to enjoy breathtaking views.

OUTSTANDING stay. If you are staying on lake Como, look no further. The accommodations are 5 star. The views are unbelievable!! If you are traveling by car or catching a ferry, this place is for you. We had 4 adults and a 10 and 12 year old for a total of 6. We had plenty of room. Oh, and did I mention the incredible views??????

Silvana and her lovely flat were amazing. The views more breathtaking than the pictures. So nice to have the lovely deck and all the outdoor furniture! Silvana and Luigi were always available. We booked a last minute day trip to Lake Lugano Switzerland and Silvana was able to get us a car ride there and back. Luigi was a great guide as well. Would come back and stay right here again. Thanks so much!

We really enjoyed our time at Silvana's place. The location was perfectly situated above the small village of Argegno. Just a nice walk down the hill to the ferry landing, restaurants and shops. The view from the terrace was absolutely fantastic. The place was squeaky clean and easy to use. You can also see the local funicular from the terrace which was a nice treat. We look forward to returning again!

First, why you should stay in Argegno: The frequent ferry stops, the mountain villages, the Swiss border 20 minutes away, the many walking trails, the cable car to Pigra, Pigra itself, the views, the views, the views, the variety of good value restaurants, the gelato at Zoe's, the Lido, and unlike some other towns on Como, the laid back, authentic vibe to Argegno. It has all the quality of the lake experience but somewhat fewer tourists. It's lovely. By the way, you MUST hire a boat from the lovely Turati family in Argegno at Il Centro Nautico Turati. The boats are pristine and they're a full service marina - a bit of a lake boating museum, actually. The prices and service are excellent. Now, why to stay at Villa Panoramica. When you arrive back to Argeno by ferry, you really see how Villa Panoramica stands out from every other place in Argegno. While there are views galore, and terraces everywhere, not one has the 240 degree (360 really – because the view behind to the church is really nice too...), wrap around terrace just slightly forward of the neighbors, really offers something extraordinary. It's actually better than what you see in the pictures! The villa itself is lovely. The main room is really quite big, spotless, the kitchen completely stocked, the beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms, very, very nice. It's wonderfully designed, but you won't notice because of the view out the floor to ceiling glass doors. There's lots of space though and automatic awnings if the sun is too hot... Mind you there's air-conditioning in every room. There is an entire outdoor living room set on the terrace, and lounge chairs, and a lovely outdoor dining set, and another one to the side of the house with an alternate view... There's also a gas grill, and a gated parking space; but remember it's Italian mountain roads all around so don't be silly and hire a huge car! Actually the entire house is gated. It's a lovely walk down to the village past the church's steeple bells to the winding village paths through beautiful footpaths and tunnels. There's a lovely bakery hidden on one of them. You'll have to explore to find it though. The path up to the house is pedestrian and a good way to work off the food you've eaten. Silvana is lovely, she meets you and has all the information you need. She's British but has lived in Italy for a long time. Our family travels a lot, and have stayed in wonderful places all over the world. But this place is particularly extraordinary. You'll be lucky to get it. I've nearly run out of the allowed words for this place. Yes, it's that special...

Better than expected! This apartment exceeded expectations. Views, space and amenities. The photos simply cannot do this apartment justice! The hosts were fantastic. With local knowledge and great recommendations that we followed and thoroughly enjoyed!

We loved our time in Argegno and couldn't recommend this location enough. Great access to ferries and public transport. The perfect gateway to Como, Varenna, Menaggio, Bellagio and more! The village and surrounding villages are filled with own unique charm, delicious eats and small bars. Electric bike hire is also available in Argegno and the owner was so helpful and provided great insight on where to go. Highly recommend! Besides having the bikes to ride the 'greenway' or catch gondola and ride around Pigra the added bonus to power up the hill from the town to the apartment was well worth the hire! In addition to the bikes we also had a car to get out further afield. The secure car space (albeit small car only) was a great addition. The pictures are spot on and the view and size of the balcony is superb!

Was absolutely perfect for my needs. My wife and i stayed for 6 nights in early September 2016. Pros: 1. Great apartment with all the necessary appliances, a shower, oven, microwave, a bath, shower, dvd player, aircon etc. 2. One of the biggest balcony/terraces I could see in the town. Wraps more than 180 degrees around and has tables, sunbeds, swingseat, chairs. 3. Silvana is great and really helpful. If you come by taxi (we took one from como, she asks to talk to the driver to help drop you off at top of hill). She is English and knows what she's doing. 4. Bakery (takes you a while to find it) general store, fruit and veg shop and about four decent restaurants. Also a pharmacy, electronics store and gelato. 5. Entirely self sufficient because of the above, we didn't have a car and didn't need one. 6. Ferry stops at Agregno v regularly and takes you everywhere. 7. Five to ten minute walk down to the centre of town. takes a little longer up as it's steep (we didn't find it at all difficult, but are both able, pushchairs or people who struggle with hills will need a hire car). 8. The town Lido is really good. six euros per day. The lido has a pool as well as the lake, it also serves food and drink. 9. Plenty to do because of ferries, lido, the local boat hire and the funicular to pigra. 10. Pretty easy to get to. We got a train from Milan linate airport and a taxi from como. Cost us about 85 euros. You can do it cheaper with buses. beware that outside of como and big towns, taxis aren't really around. Cons: There is only one and it's a bit of a cop out because I think it's unavoidable unless you go high up into the hills. 1. Road noise. Doesn't in anyway affect sleep, didn't hear a car once in bed, but when you're out on the incredible terrace, you may find lorries, coaches and motor bikes irritate you. The cars are fine. As I said, this is the price you pay for a, being on Lake como where everything is near the road and b, being so near to town. I imagine you could find a quieter villa but you'd have a 20-30 minute trek uphill or perhaps somewhere without a view. We didn't see any villas that didn't have this problem.
