We enjoyed staying with Giorgio. He welcomed us and let us do our own thing, but was very friendly and willing to answer our questions about the city. He said his English wasn't very good but in fact it was excellent. When we asked to store leftovers in the fridge he cleared off a whole shelf. The one issue with the room was one of privacy. The window in the room looks out on the floor of a patio half a floor higher. There was a lot of loud activity there, but more importantly the blind didn't completely cover the window. We never actually saw anyone through the gap, which opened on to a corner of the patio, but it was uncomfortable nonetheless. Also, we learned that Giorgio was entering the room to retrieve clothing when we weren't there. Again, we did enjoy our stay, but if these are going to be issues for you, pick another place.
Look nowhere else but here for your stay in Rome. Giorgio is the absolute best (even took us to the terminal when we got lost) and has so much knowledge of the city. He was so nice and made us Italian coffee and biscuits. I promise you will not be disappointed, it's close to basically everything and public transportation is less than a 3 minute walk.
This was our very first Airbnb stay and we had a great experience. Giorgio's apartment is clean and full of personality. We enjoyed coffee and biscuits every morning as well as some great advice as to where to eat and the best way to visits the sites of Rome. We would absolutely stay with Giorgio in the future!
