Villa Rosa is situated halfway between Byron Bay and Tweed Heads in northern NSW along the Tweed Valley Way, it’s just 8km south of Murwillumbah, and within half an hours drive south to Byron Bay, and the same distance north to the Gold Coast in Qld.
Villa Rosa is a fully self-contained small villa attached to the main house by a short walkway. It overlooks the billabong-style saltwater pool with built in spa set among the palms and rainforest plants. Although it's mainly for two adults, there is a fold out double bed if you wish to share with friends at an additional fee. Villa Rosa is a smoke free area. The second spa is private for owners only.
The property has a bitumen tennis court hidden among the trees and several paths leading to secret places such as the dam, surrounded by palms, to gather your thoughts.
There is an abundance of wildlife including scrub turkeys, goannas, possums, wallabies, hundreds of birds, echidnas, etc for you to enjoy.
Within a short distance from the property are several historical villages, the very friendly country town of Murwillumbah, home of the world famous Tweed Regional Gallery.
The gallery is renowned for its latest acquisition – the very special Margaret Olley wing known as Olleywood, named in honour of one of Australia’s most famous artists.
Wollumbin (Mt Warning) National Park and numerous other national parks are within a short drive.
We live adjacent to the Villa and are happy to offer our local knowledge if and when required but we are also just as happy to allow guests the freedom to explore and enjoy on their own.
The property is also a short, half-hour journey by car to the Coolangatta/Gold Coast Airport.
Within half an hour of the property are idyllic beach locations such as Kingscliff, Hastings Point, Cabarita, Pottsville and Tweed Heads/Coolangatta.
The renowned hippie town of Nimbin is a short drive from the property and a must for those curious to seek out the alternate lifestyle.
We expect our guests to be well behaved and environmentally aware of the sustainable rural lifestyle. We also prefer non smoking guests and no pets.
