Eclectic or 'eccentric', my background is as diverse as the places I lived since I was adopted from South Korea to Belgium.
Born in Busan and adopted when I was 3 years old by a Belgian / French family. I grew up in Belgium and was quickly exposed to different cultures as Brussels being 'a very cosmopolitan city' [as well as the center of Europe with multilingual communities]. Minimum three languages are spoken here.
Looking at big fashion capitals as an ambitious (fashion) photographer, I moved to Paris in 1994 and collaborated with top international model agencies for few years.
A life-changing visit to re-discover my roots in South Korea, back in 1995 for the first time, reconnected me to my origins.
A year later, I moved from Paris to Seoul and lived/worked there from 1996 to 2010 (*besides a 2 years 'break' during the Asian Financial crisis where I lived in New York City).
Since 2010, my globetrotter mindset and nomadic lifestyle, with a special affection for South East Asian countries, made me decided to relocate to Bangkok, Thailand – a platform of travel and a hub of tourism where multi-cultures meet and clash.
The charming and peaceful house is ready to welcome you, in the perfect location between Asoke, Thonglor, Phra Khanong / Ekkamai, where there is another burgeoning pocket of creative community with new galleries and cafes opening recently.
Since 2010, I share my time between Seoul and Bangkok; or travel often elsewhere around the world for photography assignments, lectures or special photography workshops.
I regularly teach Photo Workshops and updated details are posted on my website:
